    It's a new app. 1.0

    Nice! Hope you like it!

  • Is it possible to run the 'remote' on a single device as it could potentially make performance easier by allowing access to control multiple apps on one screen at the same time? Or maybe the AudioBus app will be updated to have a 'performance mode' in the future?

It's a new concept so we're listening to your suggestions. But right now you need a second device for it.

  • Alright, I'm off to bed. We'll see each other in a few hours. Website and documentation and all other stuff will be updated, too. :)

  • Can someone please put up the link? It often works when a search yet will not.

  • Is it live in the U.S. Yet?

  • Quick, someone post the link. Sebastian is off to bed. He'll never know. We just want to see the screenshots and app description even if we can't buy it yet.

  • Got it too. Looks great! I think it's a great idea to make it work on the same device as well in the future.

  • ➕ 1000

  • @Sebastion Good morning. Maybe this would be a good time to implement list filtering on the apps page for Remote, state-saving, and later on for future OS compatibility? No rest for the nice, either.

  • Works great with loopy, very useful for live jamming if you have two iPads, I'm hoping that it will eventually get automation and a mixer too :)

  • So, what can the average Joe DO with this thang?

First of all, you can hide the connection panel in all apps because you won't need it anymore. Switching apps is now even easier because you'll have nice big buttons for it that don't change position in every app.

Personally I love using it with effects apps and drum machines like DM1 and Patterning (coming out soon), because I can play with both apps at the same time (like triggering hihats in DM1 while manipulating a filter in Caramel or Swoopster on the other screen).

With SoundPrism Electro you basically get a mini version of the app inside of Audiobus Remote, which means you can play with it while you tweak some knobs in a synth it's controlling or just go through its presets. Vice versa you can go through the presets of a filter app that's in the background while you're playing a phrase with a synth or sound generator in the foreground.

Then there's the interesting aspect of Audiobus Remote being somewhat like Lego. Depending on which apps you connect to Audiobus it'll look different and do different things. It's basically like a connection panel on steroids, on a second device. Or a MIDI controller that you don't have to spend any time to set up, because it'll automatically work.

And then there's collaboration. Like when you want to let your friend play with an effect app or trigger loops while you're doing something else on the other device.

  • This looks great! Thanks

Thanks. It was a softball, but you hit it cleanly :)

  • Ok, now that we've got remote out of the way can we start working on the multiple out in audiobus. That could be the real game changer you know ;)

    Could be a great IAP

    Goodnight

  • I needed exactly this a couple of nights ago while recording with Loopy. This remote plus Audreio will work wonders for staying in a creative workflow between multiple devices. My $5 thanks you.
