What's also nice is not accidentally changing a a parameter or triggering a note because you're swiping around for that little tab. Basically eliminates the need for frustration-based double clicking of the home button which, as we all know, can create hiccups and screw up your flow. Not to mention apps that support AudioBus, but never got the control panel worked out very well.
Yet another, amazing, essential tool! Thanks @Sebastian and @Michael !
How about being able to move apps around inside audiobus? Like switch effects around in a different order or drag an input, effect or chain to a different chain
A+++++
It's a great studio tool which makes working with Audiobus more pro, essential if you have two iPads.
Let's hope the developers all step up to this and add some cool stuff in the panels.
Doesn't need two iPads. This works with iPhone and iPod Touch too.
Wow, looks excellent! Can't wait to put this to use.
I don't suppose a Mac version of this would make much sense? I would certainly pay for one but I have unique needs. Apologies if somebody has already requested this.
Always in for running trains! wut whut
Haven't gotten it to work yet. iPad Air and iPad 2. I bring up audiobus on one but the other with remote just stays on the message about Bluetooth.
Hi folks! My shift just started ;-)
@juanconcho - if you tap the screen in Remote, you'll get the Bluetooth permissions dialog. Say yes, and you're good to go
I got to that step and hit ok. But it just keeps showing the animation about bringing up ab on the other device. I'm deleting and trying again.
AudioBus should be showing on the main device, and enable Bluetooth manually on that one.
Bloody hell, very clever development Michael and seb..I see this as having massive potential for live jamming..
Yeah AB comes up fine but remote is stuck on the other iPad.
Didn't it say in the video ipad3 or higher?
Brilliant, even just the app switching is brilliant for live work. Well done guys.
Mimix will do output routing which is great for live work too.
iPad2 only supports Bluetooth 2.1 vs ipad3 and higher support Bluetooth LE (4.0). Maybe this is the problem?
I didn't see a video. The app compatibility in the store just says "iPad".
Bad news.. I just watched again and it is ipad3 or newer only
Ah, that'll do it; yes, it's iPad 3/iPhone 4s and up only, because of the iBeacons functionality. There may be a problem with the store's compatibility requirements, I'll check that out.
This is so slick Seb, Mike, and all involved. Many thanks.
Oh well I didn't read the full description, just scrolled down to the information section, where it says IOS 8.3 or later. Thought I was good to go for iPad 2.
Like Christmas Eve! I thought I'd have to wait until tomorrow, so I was pleasantly surprised.
@Michael and @Sebastian - what is iBeacon? Also, I'm wondering what constraints are around the triggers? Could a dev add LFO speed, for example? Could drop downs be included?
Brother... What is that app?!?
That looks awesome.. I love that all the REC buttons are just there now, no interruptions
I believe it is the forthcoming "Patterning" drum app
@juanconcho: Yeah, it's our bad; turns out the requirements (which restrict download ability to iPad 3/iPhone 4s+ only) need to be set elsewhere. We'll fix that.
@funjunkie27: Yay! Here's some info about iBeacon. It lets us detect proximity, in short. Regarding kinds of triggers: currently they're buttons only (with touch down and touch up detection). We may well broaden that set to other kinds of controls - we're listening!
Cool on the iBeacon info. Thanks @Michael. I'd add that XY pad support would be rather sweet too!
Another device is needed? Meh. I've long been in the camp that with iOS less is more. This just reaffirms that. If someone out there finds use for this, more power to you.
