  • when will it be available on the USA App Store? I don't see it yet.

  • looking forward to it in the Canadian store! Uhhmm... When might that hit? 8)

Oh and for the first update I would love for you to be able to drag controls over onto a little step sequencer ala effectrix! 8)

  • @Sebestian @Michael great idea and functionality for the app. Don't need to worry about the Audiobus menu tab getting in the way. Really hope more midi apps get on the bus to round out the experience. It can even be used to get more out of an Audiobus phone sessions.

@eross, @AudioGus: Are you searching, or going to the direct URL? The App Store is kinda notorious for taking a looooong time to propagate changes, but usually the direct URLs start working before search does. Either way, should be all good over the next hours.

I'd like to buy this (I like to buy things), but am not certain if it really adds any value as I don't play live, have no friends I play with Doctor, and tend to record tracks sequentially, one after another. More than happy to be persuaded/educated that I am missing some part of Remote's functionality that would be of benefit to me however.

EDIT: Am reading @Sebastian's previous and generous note and am imagining things that DO sound good, like the tweaking of effects without having to go back and forth...

Not in this case. It's made the app-switching and recording process a LOT nicer. I've tried it out w/ Capo -> AUFX:space -> Cubasis, and multi tracking is a pleasure with my phone as a remote surface.

    Well done, team.

I just made a quick demo to show how my apps work with their new remote triggers in Audiobus Remote.
Also, all the Holderness FX apps are on sale through the weekend. :)

Using Holderness FX apps with the new Audiobus Remote app

  • yah it hasnt shown up in store search or under developer apps on the canadian side but the direct link works!

Yah x y dm1 pads would be sweet!

  • you guys are genius'! such a simple but highly usable app. I can't believe how easily it works, and how much it speeds up song writing!!! You guys killed it....awesome!! I can't wait to see what app developers build to work with this infrastructure. I couldn't be happier.

  • Sweet! Thanks! =)

  • ipad 2 and ipad 4 here so i guess it does me no good.

  • Just brilliant, guys. What an amazing addition. I'll be honest, when I read the "spoiler" thread and heard it was a remote I was skeptical. But then when it hit the App Store, well, I'm buying that... if for no other reason than to support the team that's changed how I compose my music in a fundamental way. As someone who records and plays live, I can tell you that I've just been gifted with another game changer. Thank you!

Won't benefit from the sale because I already have all of your apps, but that's fine, worth every penny (although Stereo Designer, which I love, could do with a freshen up :). Just always like to see intelligent responsive marketing. Well done. And you did secure a sale for our friends at Audiobus, not the last one I'd imagine. Make sure @Michael buys the coffee next time.

(Oh, and no more than two dopes in any five minute segment is the rule these days I think.... :)

  • iPod touch ios 8.4 with iPad 3 ios 7.1.2 & r-mini ios 7.1.2
Will one remote for multiple iPads/audiobus's be in the works?

One can never have too much dope.

You obviously haven't spent any time with my family at Christmas... :)

@JohnnyGoodyear - Now I'm self conscious, I'll have to rewatch the video and count how many times I said it. ;)

  • Nah, that video demo is defiantly dope Chris

  • Bug alert. Where do I post them @Michael ?

this looks excellent. will have to default to my iPhone because I have a Mini and an original 2 for my rig. could someone post video of how Remote looks on an iPhone? concerned about screen real estate.

also, any plans in the pipeline for how iOS 9 will enhance the AB pair? I could see some fun to be had with running the Remote and all of its cross-app triggers in split screen alongside a synth to keep everything in one device (that device being an Air 2 or higher, obvi). is a single device setup something the team is considering for the Fall?

Probably a very stupid question: does Remote work on the same device with Audiobus running? I know what "remote" means but as I don't plan to use a 2nd iOS device in my rig,yet I would love to have a single 'control deck' kinda trig surface from which I can overlook and tweak all the 6-8 apps running in the Audiobus patch without having to switch between apps. This would of course also require that all my 'go to' apps (first and foremost SamplR) are updated to the new remote protocol, so I'm only asking this theoretically. Thanks.

  • don't worry, your "very stupid question" is also one of my biggest.

  • Would be a great feature/update

This exactly. I've recently bought iPad Air 2 to eliminate the need to have an extra device as a guitar sim. I'm spending my live shows with only samplr in the foreground these days anyway as I have all the important stuff mapped to midi controllers.

Having said all that I'll probably get that anyway to support this amazing team. Sorry for being an ungrateful git.

Hey @antrabbit I'm already using mimix for sending separate outs to physical output on my multichannel interface. I didn't realise you can use it for completely separating the audio routes. I'll give it a try but will be back if I'm stuck. Thanks for the suggestion.

  • Im sorry maybe it's a morning thing but I can't seem to do it @anyrabbit. Could you share a preset so I have something to fiddle with.

In simple terms, what I'm trying to do is to be able to record 2 separate apps onto separate tracks of a multichannel app such as loopy simultaneously so that they record on separate tracks. Currently I don't seem to be able to do this.
