I can't use MiMix because the added latency...A better solution to have the I/O built in to the host matrix rather than an additional processing app...I'am very latency sensitive..and the labeling is aways screwy...cool app as a band aid..

Agree, but I still use MiMiX because I need the multi-output routing. Anyone know if AUM handles things differently than MiMiX so there is less latency?

AUM supports audio interfaces with multiple output (and input) channels. It doesn't add any additional latency unless needed for latency compensation (plugins/effects that introduce latency).

I mainly use MiMix so I can get Loopy's metronome to come out of my audio interface's headphone output while all the other Audiobus stuff comes through the main outs. Latency is fine through AB/MiMix until the moment I add the Loopy metronome output to the equation, and latency is suddenly very very bad. iPad Pro.

I hope AUM can avoid this.

Also, the recordings isn't exported to AudioShare, they are recorded straight into AudioShare. The two apps share the same file storage space.

Holy what? What magic is this?

It's called "shared app group container", any apps by the same developer can have shared file storage!

So no, unfortunately it can't be used by other devs, only my own apps can have direct access to the AudioShare storage. However, sometime in the future I will try to implement the open/save side of the Document Picker extension, which means that other apps could open a file from AudioShare without copying it into its own space first.

    omg this would be huge

  • Holy shit
    Space sounds amazing now :)

  • Hello @j_liljedahl , I saw in a screenshot of the mixer app that a keyboard was included, is it possible to add custom scales support ? That would make it really useful :)

iOS needs allot more super easy note triggering ideas, more xy pads triggering notes like the kaosspad app, drawing notes like some of these recent novelty apps that have come out, and other alternative ways to input data. it would be good for iOS.

I'm afraid that's out of scope for this app. Better connect a MIDI controller app or hardware device to it, you can then route it wherever you want inside the app (into IAA apps, AU plugins, controlling the mixer itself, etc)

  • Thanks for your response, can't wait for AU M release !
