Okay so I thought with midi messages , we could tell a track to arm or unarm(or else ) with a midi note since I thought the pitchbend values were the midi note numbers ... ok

The two parameters for a MIDI note message are the "Note Number" and the "Velocity". It will never be pitch, pitch bend, or whatever. But the catch is that a Note On message with velocity value zero is interpreted as a Note Off. So you must specify a non-zero velocity in a Note On message. This odd interpretation is defined in the MIDI standard, and actually used by some hardware keyboards.
Edit: When @xglax says "pitch", he just means "MIDI note number". Just a bit of language confusion.

Is there a way to rename automation lanes in LK?
I’m currently putting together a new song with quite a bit of automation, and it’s really hard to remember what each cc number does between sessions.
Sorry, I don't know the answer to your question about LK.
However, as a side note, AUM does have the ability to keep notes about a session. If the host isn't AUM then there's also Session Notes AU.

@gregsmith There's no way to rename automation lanes as far as I know, but would be a nice to have.
I use the same cc numbers on every channel for the common parameters like volume, HPF, LPF etc and I keep a list of those, so I'm kind of familiar with them which helps/
A question for you though is that when making songs how do you make sure your automation matches up when changing scene? Eg: the LPF setting on your bass at end scene1 matches the beginning of scene2
It made me think maybe an Arrangement view IAP would be a good addition?
Hi. Any way to restore purchases in beta version? The restore button doesn't do anything, i've tried to uninstall the beta, install LK from the app store, restore the purchases from it and then install beta on top but no luck.

I have a track that just holds all the automation, then I just kinda make it work. Quite often there’s no need to do anything in the following scene, for example I open up an LPF in scene 3, then just leave it open in scene 4.
It’s all a bit fiddly and would be much easier if automation lanes were renameable (any chance @sinosoidal ? 😉)
Hi , i wondered the same thing , and realised with the BETA only of course , if you click on purchase it is writen on the pay window in french" a fin de test uniquement , vous ne serez pas débité apres avoir confirm cet achat" / meaning click as if u pay for it , it wont take your money , is only for testing
Simply read carefuly on the "buy" window , you ll understand
So you click on "buy" , it will give you for example matrix , but you wont actually pay its ok
I did it , checked it , its fine and works
So for what I understand , the app is the app , the beta , is the beta
That will actually be possible when we release a new version with some improvements to the automations

Being an AUV3 on iPad in AUM space is naturally restricted. So things do get fiddly and as LK has 3 sections (clips, piano roll, automation) + menu bars it means that regardless of which section you are in you lose a lot of realestate space to:
1. It being an AUV3 window
2. Menu bars between sections, even when in full screen mode
3. Other sections being partially visible
In NanoStudio which has a glorious UI, they superimpose a semi transparent automations window on top of the clip editor instead of a section below the clip editor. Saves space but has the advantage of being able to draw your automation on top of your notes which is great.
Whilst I am sharing….
I dont suppose you’d consider an “Arrangement View” IAP for LK where you could take clips to a timeline view? (AUMbleton Live style!)

It’s absolutely great that the colours match with the Launchpad now, but I get lost sometimes when I’m playing, because I can’t see which clips are actually playing on my Launchpad without double checking in LK.

yep. but im patient. devs got plenty of other things on their list. i don't wanna be that guy.
Ableton live/ampify launchpad/atom2/whatever style. Right now I can't tell by just looking at the launchpad.
When i press stop, the armed clips lights go out. So i've been using LK for composition, but dump the midi clips into atom for actual performance.
Noticed that adjusting the Settings> 'Cell Width and Height' seems to help with the blank screen... (on preliminary testing)... Thanks..

This is likely a bad interaction between the device screen pixel dimensions and the app. You should let the dev know your specific iPad model. I see you said "iPad Air, iPadOS 15", but that's not possible because the iPad Air (1) is locked to iOS 12. The newer iPad Air models have larger screens. Do you know which model it is, or the year it was new?
Edit: Or you can go to Settings–>About and tap on the Model Number. You will see the Apple "marketing model number", Axxxx. That will tell us which one it is.
