Total crash fest for me, wait, maybe 17.5 I just updated to fixes that🤞😂. Jokes aside it looks to have some real potential and it's a petty he didn't take the AUV3 route from the beginning.
There's some videos out already and it sounds amazing (could not resist and bought it). It is not sample based and weighs in around 55Mb.
Very favourably. Feature set is about the same, both will be hugely authentic in a mix. I'd say the B3X wins on character - but then it should when it's packing 1GB of sampled character. KingB is much smaller and cheaper, and sounds fantastic.

I've almost stopped using Zenbeats because of it's UI which I can't really get used to. I only use it for midi drum programming because it's a brillant app for this (even if I also use Octachron and others…)

Yeah, I haven't really touched Zenbeats since Logic Pro for iPad dropped, and I always found it can be a little rough around the edges and non-intuitive for me, but I have to acknowledge that it's still there, it has a lot of great features and gets regular updates, it's backed by a large well-resourced company, and it's a lot more affordable than Logic. If Logic went away tomorrow, it would probably be my fallback choice.
