  • Double-tap resetting of sequencer steps will be in the next build. We've fixed a reported crash. Additionally, the manual is now in the proper spot on the website. I'll submit a build to Apple early next week as soon as we get more polish in.

Thank you so much for the double taps! It will be much more convenient to set up the sequences

  • Sweet. Double-tap is going to be a big help.

  • 1.1.3 was released yesterday on iOS! We sent it in to PA to release on Mac/Windows as well:

    • Double-clicking (or tapping) a sequencer parameter step will reset the value to a default (i.e. pitch, velocity, ratchet).
    • Fixed a crash when dragging a drum track onto the Voice/Performance button at the top of the channel selector.
    • Fixed a graphical bug where the Voice/Performance button would light up when dragging a track over it, suggesting a potential drop.
    • Fix for Clap engine not choking properly.

1.1.4 is underway with more workflow requests and bug fixes. The first big one is that there's now a global option to pick between Audio Mute and Trigger Mute behavior. Audio Mute is the existing behavior, where the Mute buttons cut out the audio but let the drum play in the background, meaning that muting and unmuting can occur mid-hit. Good for auditioning and weird tremolo, bad for live performances. Trigger Mute is the new behavior, which simply mutes the incoming triggers for the drum. This lets the drum tail ring out, but prevents new hits from occurring.

  • Since the update I have problems with Multi-Out in Logic again. How does it work for you?

From what we've heard, this is a bug in Logic that other developers have reported to Apple. It also broke sidechain inputs on effects. I haven't checked the status of this, but I encourage people who need it to file a report here: https://www.apple.com/feedback/logic-pro/

Nice one - keep up the good work! Loving this app ... :)

  • This app is freaking insane!

I am a Patterning lover, and believe it's programming interface to be unparalleled in the history of Drum Machines, and I have owned quite a few hardware drum machines and samplers over the last 30 years.

But, um, dude... You broke my brain. It's unbelievable what I can get out of this. The sounds are amazing. The parameters are so tweakable and the randomization adds so much to both the drum machine and sampler capabilities. Multi outs in Aum are phenomenal, with the ability to add effects to each drum is taking me back to when I ran my TR808 with 12 effects pedals, a patch bay, and a mixer. Holy... And then I can just save that state in Aum and do something completely different. Just... Wow.

Had to pick up your effects apps too, and they do not disappoint.

I think you have a masterpiece.

I'll PM you some tweaks I would add, but they are just excited babblings from the mental patient you have created. Feel free to ignore them. Thank you.

Logic released an update on June 25 that should have fixed both those issues. I'm not sure it did for every app (but their intention was good😉).

I'm still using the beta, waiting for next apanage later this month (puh, just before the 20th) but see it's still 1.1.2. Have you stopped supporting the public beta?

  • @trickyflemming

Amazing app, you've done a phenomenal job on it.

Would it be possible to include a way to reset the sequencer to default? Or is it possible and I'm not seeing it anywhere? It makes creating my own sequence with a preset very onerous, not to mention wanting to randomize things but preserving a sequence.

  • Can I just check, is £$30.00 still the intro offer price?

  • @FPC said:

I believe this is the intro price, representing 25% discount on normal price.

Ok thanks. I'll just buy it and stop being tight.

  • Desktop version is currently $70 rather than $199. I lost about 3 hours last night playing with it (Just waiting for @jwmmakerofmusic to make a comment now…).

    So versatile!

No Battalion update on my TestFlight either, it’s still 1.2.2.(4). 😕 Maybe it’s because my testing iPad has iOS 17.7.8.

Yeah, it does look like the public beta will no longer be updated (I can see why - they obviously want people to buy the app, and the beta was an effective piece of marketing as well as a beta), but it would be good for the dev to confirm.

Noooo, they would never dare to do such a thing?! 😉🤦‍♂️

  • Yes, the App Store version will receive all of the updates. New public betas will be rolled out for "high risk" features (like Patterns, MIDI Out, or anything where we specifically need a lot of feedback).

Getting more feature requests tackled. The next build already has:

    • Function to pick a random sample within the current folder.
    • Global Option to choose whether the mixer mutes are audio mutes (current behavior: instant mute... better for auditioning/analyzing sounds), or trigger mutes (let the current drum finish sounding, but mute new triggers... better for live performers).

Damn got excited that an update shipped.

They must be in the weeds code wise as it’s been months now without an update. Including any bug fixes for that really unfortunate AUV3 / MIDI change preset bug that handicaps the preset changing function.

Doesn’t seem like there’s any convos from the dev on that elektronauts forum either in weeks.

you mean a new beta version, or new release?

    i got the release now. it's 1.1.3

Thx! Such a good app. A bit fiddly as a touch interface, but I’d rather have that than a more limited interface.

    My other wish list thing…

I’d love if the modulation lanes in the sequencer would work on the voices that are triggered elsewhere… So the modulation messes with the voice but I can play it live with a controller or something.

  • Just bumping this! Beta 1.2.0 went up over the weekend.
