Gracias @LuisMartinez por escucharnos. Eres el mejor de todo. ¡Salúd! 🍻

    Totalmente en acuerdo!

@LuisMartinez Also, add a “Tip” jar iap to bless the developer. Or a “buy me coffee “ iap. I think the community really loves Lumbeat and thank you again for this amazing app!

Agreed! A tip jar IAP is a must. 🙏

Definitely! drunk at XMas I have been known to get a little crazy.

Totally agree regarding the tip jar IAP! 😁👍

    @LuisMartinez Thanks a million for making it a one-payment app!!! ☺️🙏
(Sorry for the somewhat harsh words in my previous post 🤝, the thing is all of us in the music making community dislike subscriptions! 😅 - and I just wish more developers actually knew this 😉)

For me personally, it depends on what the subscription is for. If it's for a powerful multi-purpose app such as a DAW like Logic Pro on iPad, that's one thing. But for just a plugin, that's definitely not my bag.

(Of course I've subbed to NFL+ to catch the latest US football games on my iPad as it'll save me money in the longrun. I don't own a TV, and don't want to invest a lot of money going to a pub to watch games like I used to in my 20s and 30s. 🤣 )

  • @LuisMartinez
Thanks a lot for listening to us.

  • Well, that was a nice thing to wake up to today.
    Cheers to @LuisMartinez 😎
I hope you are able to find a pricing model that works for you and doesn't get the pitchforks out around here.

  • Yes, thanks @LuisMartinez for listening, downloading it again then 😘

  • I really really like the revamped Song mode!
Oh man, this is gonna really help me make songs more than ever!!!!

Also, right out of the bat, the default midi mapping works perfectly with driving Drum Session both in AUM. I played for hours and haven’t got a single crash. Where as before with the the IAA midi crash here amd there depending on the amount of stuff playing. This is in my old 5th gen iPad.

@LuisMartinez Outstanding! It was ONLY the AUv3 being in the subs that I was objecting to...as to a sub for new kits and beats, that's fine, or charge a one off IAP as was the case with additional drummers in the earlier apps....either or.

  • YAY for no subscription, you shall now receive my møney. Thanks for engaging with and listening to the community <3

  • still broken in Oz, no updates or IAPs available still.

    Whats Oz?

  • Something very strange - I have Pop Drummer loaded as an AUv3 in AUM in a midi slot. I send the midi to various instruments and can hear it. I can see the midi data in a midi monitor. But somehow I can’t capture that midi in a midi recorder like Atom2 or Midi Tape Recorder. Have tried again and again to see what’s wrong, there is definitely no problem in my routing. Anyone able to replicate this, and got any idea why it would happen?

Post screenshots of your routing. If a MIDI monitor sees the midi, that midi can be recorded.

You would think so, but no. I’ve never come across something like this:

The midi is routing through Atom2 no problem. Atom 2 is recording, but no notes ever appear on its piano roll, and when it is played back, there’s silence

  • Same midi out channel and midi receive channel?

Maybe this is one of the features locked behind the initial sub model 🤷🏻‍♂️

All the AUv3s here are set to receive on any midi channel

Nah, this is the beta version I’m using.

  • It works. I was able to send midi notes from PD to Atom amd it recorded the midi!

  • Make sure send notes is selected in the nores midi map screen.

  • No good documentation? Not a good manual? Bo thanks .

MIDI is MIDI. If it can play other instruments it can be recorded. There isn't any magic in the MIDI protocol that can copy protect it like that.

Something else is going on here, presumably with Atom 2. I sure can't spot what it is in the video though.

Thanks, I tried that just now but it didn't make any difference. And I mean, notes were already being sent out without that toggled on, otherwise there would have been no sound in the video I posted, but there was sound 🤔

Midi tape recorder had the same problem, it's not an atom-specific issue. I've sent this video to the dev, let's see

It looks like pop drummer is sending note ons and offs at the same time. I think that is causing problems.

  • Oh wow interesting! If I send the mdi to Drum Session, it triggers the drums in Drum Session perfectly in realtime both in AUM.
