I’m using Loopy Pro to send Note 0. I don’t think it’s possible to change the octave. FWIW I just tried sending C-2 in Drambo and Battalion can’t handle it. It doesn’t crash, just glitches out for a while. Ah, D#-2 crashes it. Yeah, this is a bug.
IDK - I’m on an A16 iPad with iPadOS 26.1 with no crashing. Good luck!
And @meek3 ?
Here also an extra bump for preset change fix.
I just tried this in Drambo and changing presets with those two notes works just fine, so it looks like there's another factor at play.
I tried it, but it works as expected. I'm using the simplest posible setup, just Battalion loaded in the first channel:

Edit: I tried in AUM as well, it works but I did notice that DSP briedly jumps to "MAX". In Loopy Pro I see the DSP load briefly jump beyond 1000%.
You asked him for a reply with a screenshot and to try the randomization tho? Haha
I get it, you’re frustrated. Sounds like an optimization/cpu overload thing to me tho 🤷🏻♂️
I'm just providing one more case so your issue can be more easily identified and fixed. Whatever.
@offbrands @Grandbear
What devices are you guys running. Could be useful info for why one has issues and the other doesn’t (one iPad can’t handle the load from switching and crashes, the other struggles but it doesn’t crash)
👍 I wasn't trying to call attention to my good luck, just that there are other factors and I assumed that knowing when it fails and it doesn't fail would help identify the root cause. That's why I tried the other two hosts as well.
@Squishy this is an M1, 11-inch iPad Pro. I think you're on the right track, 1000% sounds like a lot but I'm no expert in percentages 😛
@Squishy @Grandbear @trickyflemming
I get max spike and occasional distortion when changing programs through Channel 11 in AUM as previously discussed. No crashes though. iPad A16 on iPadOS 26.01
Here’s a screen recording of what I’ve been experiencing.
Exact same behaviour when hosted in Loopy Pro.
iPad Air 5/M1 on OS 18.7.1
I see a brief "Error Loading Preset" in your recording, could that be part of the issue? Do you get the same when switching presets with previous/next buttons in the app?
Hey y’all,
Writing from a car on a family road trip. The crash will be addressed in the patch as well. Sometimes communication is slow. We’re not trying to ignore anyone.
I have a few presets from the beta that won't load in the Auv3. Just to be sure, I deleted all my user presets and re-installed Battalion just now, and it behaves exactly the same way. So that's a separate thing, not really a bug IMO because it's a beta artifact.
And no, using the previous/next buttons in the app doesn't produce the same behaviour. My uneducated guess is that the MIDI note is getting stuck/repeated in Battalion somehow, causing it to trigger rapidly.
Yeah we'll work on it. We're only two people and there are other bugs and other plugins. August 11th was my birthday on which I apparently decided to go answer customer emails, so that should tell you something.
I get your frustration though since it's kind of a hack to allow for pattern changes. I'd suggest just loving it for what it is for a bit. But hang tight- we're working on all of it as we can.
@amusesmile you guys do awesome work. For myself I’ve been using Loopy Pro to host and change presets, so it’s not a big deal. Great if it gets fixed but I am more excited about the new features in the pipeline.
@trickyflemming @amusesmile Thanks for your awesome plugins and your hard work! Very much looking forward to trying out the new and forthcoming features in Battalion (definitely my plugin of 2025)
