The basses, drums and Pianos are good. Especially the pianos.
My recommendation for IK stuff is NEVER INSTALL SampleTank! EVER!
IK sure doesn’t seem very popular around here - or at least very hit and miss. Ive been a huge fan of all their hardware I’ve owned (still have the very first headphone jack iRig lying around) and love MODO Bass/Drums and ToneX. I’ve been tempted by SampleTank but I hear horror stories about it all the time.
Regarding the bundle, if I already have the Max versions of Modo then the sound packs for that are useless right? So I would mainly be getting TrackS and Sampletank SE? Still doesn’t seem bad at $30.
Yeah if you have MAX you have all the basses.
Some of the t-racks in the bundle are ok. The drums are good. You also get Tonex SE and the stars of this bundle are the Pianoverse Pianos.
I would not install ST4 again if you paid me. So for me the st4 sound packs are useless. Still worth it for the Tonex and Pianoverse pianos I think.
BTW If you haven’t already registered some of your IK hardware you could get in on the group buy and get a ton of it for free depending on the value of the hardware.
I’m guessing the Pianoverse pianos need Pianoverse to be usable, and that doesn’t look to be included. Or are they each separate VSTs?
The pianos come with the pianoverse plugin. It’s one plugin. All additional pianos use the same plugin to access them. So it’s one plugin in your DAW and you select the pianos in the plugin like with MODO Bass or, perish the thought, SampleTank.
If you buy the bundle you get pianoverse. And two pianos. They’re about 20Gb each I think.
You don’t need to already own anything for any of the included stuff to work.

That's great to know it can be used in the group buy. I participated in the group buy last time but hardly use the T-racks 5 stuff I bought due to the amount on bloat it needed to install. I'd like to upgrade (inexpensively) to T-racks 6, so that I can only install the racks I've purchased. This seems like a good way to accomplish this and get a few more racks. Thanks

If this applies to you, you probably already have an email on the subject, but Arturia is selling discounted Ableton Standard and Suite upgrade licenses. I think it applies if you have a Live Lite license from purchasing a controller or whatever else they bundle it with. Just for the next few days I think.

It’s an upgrade from Lite, and if you’ve ever bought a piece of hardware from Arturia you have a Live Lite license. Or Korg Gadget or Koala Sampler or a bunch of other apps. They’re advertising it as 25% off.
Strange. That upgrade is currently showing about 275 on the Ableton site and 369 on the Arturia site. Maybe I do get an upgrade. Just not to Intro versions.

Did you register your serial from plugin boutique for Amplitube in the IK product manager? As soon as you do that everything should show up in promotions.
I’m wondering if I already have amplitude on my account that it will work at all, be nice to have tonex max though, plus the half ton of extras they seem to have now…
What I registered was the freebie Tape Echo that comes with any Audio Deluxe purchase.
I had Amplitube SE from a long time ago, although I had added almost everything in Amplitube from previous group buys, so for me amplitube 5 worked. Whether that is true is you already own Amplitube 5 or amplitube 5 max I can’t say.
The Group buy didn’t allow tonex max as an option, just tonex, but again, I added all of the additional collections. I think there’s some stuff in Max that may only come with max though, or at least it seemed so last night when I was trying some presets.
Either way, just the ODS pack alone seems to have been worth it, those sound really good.
