Ah cool, there's a few devices on Isotonik Studios I'm interested in, hate the way their prices double when I go to the basket page though.
Good to hear. Ableton don't seem to want my custom, so I'll probably have a software splurge instead!
Do I need to be mindful of anything weird installing MixBox? I’ve read horror stories on SampleTank installs being a pain.
Code isn’t working for me - did it work for you?
No, sampletank has tom install a lot of sample
material and the locations can be difficult to install, but mixbox is straight ahead.
One thing to note though. at least on Mac, is that the product manager keeps the install files in your documents folder, which can take up a lot of space if you have many IK products, so I always go to documents- IKMultimedia-Product Manager and clean out the installers, usually moving it to my backup drive to keep the most recent installer version there.
Mixbox is a cool thing though. I don’t use it too often because I mostly stick to console 1 for my bread and butter things (the hands on aspect of the controller and faders makes a big difference to me), but when I’ve used it I’ve liked the results. I have all of the t-racks processors too (updated to 6 in the group buy last month), so I might reach for those first, but this thread is a good reminder to sit with mixbox when I have time and make some quick “Go to” presets for things.
These plugins are free, or support by patreon, and are amazing. I have no connection with him business wise but have corresponded with him a fair amount. He’s trying to raise the money via patreon to get a Mac developer account, and in his country (Turkey), PayPal is not allowed, so he had to go to patreon.
As a result, these don’t pass the Mac signing test, but they are absolutely legit and are amazing in terms of sound, yet simple in terms of control. There is a script that you can copy up terminal to sign the plugin. I now use his 4 plugins as my default mastering chain starting point, usually in the order of eq, compressor, tape/clipper, limiter as he suggested. Apparently they do a lot under the hood but the controls are really simple, and the results show.
I don’t believe any of the extra installation steps are necessary on windows, but I don’t really use windows very often so I can’t personally attest to that.
Either way, really cool stuff.

Crazy price for Arturia V collection 8 — $59.99!!
https://www.proaudiostar.com/arturia-v-collection-8-software-instrument-bundle-software-download-code.html
and V Collection X! $99.99
https://www.proaudiostar.com/arturia-v-collection-x-software-instrument-bundle-software-download-code.html
All the instruments are up to date bar those that got upgraded in later Collections. But the bulk of V8 is still 100% current.
The update to 11 is $99 at the moment. So it’s possible to get V11 for $158.98.
Blimey, that’s tempting - I’ve been eyeing up V11 (I don’t have any of their collections yet), and the cheapest I’ve seen is £279.
I’d probably grab the X collection - do you think it’s ok for UK based purchasers? I notice there isn’t a UK option for credit card payments, but PayPal looks doable.
Update: after a bit of web searching, seems it’s US customers only, even for downloads, and a couple of posts where money was taken but no code received. Seems it’s a regular yearly deal.
Damn, I would have grabbed that one.
Yeah seems it’s US only. Perhaps if there’s someone in the US you trust to help buy it for you?
(I’m also in the UK — I already have V8)
Unfortunately not. Ah well, maybe next year! It’s a shame UK stores don’t reduce the price on older versions, they’re still selling them for £500+!
Cherry Audio Mercury 8 — $29
https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Mercury8--cherry-audio-mercury-8-virtual-instrument-plug-in
Don’t hesitate if you want it, might be a glitch
I might be tempted, but could be a non-UK option again?
Too late now. It was a glitch sale. It’s back to full price. Sweetwater will sell to UK — I’ve bought from them in the past in another glitch sale (TRacks Max 6 for $29) . You have to be quick!
Yeah, making quick decisions isn’t one of my strong points! Just had a reply from Pro Audio Star, who say their website isn’t accessible outside the UK, but if I can see and purchase from there ‘it should be ok’. Doesn’t seem to tally with posts I’ve read from UK attempts at purchasing. But….hmmm…
Theoretically the worst that can happen is that they decline the purchase.
Self promo here, gumroad just prompted me to add a Black Friday sale to my stuff so I thought why not, some sales might encourage me to release the packs I’ve been sitting on for far too long…
Goodies to be found here, they’re sample packs of my workshop made valve ‘synths’, more sound making devices than anything Bob Moog would glorify with such a term, I like them though, they give me the shivers 😅

I’ve bought from them several times over the years in the US… they are reputable. It was hardware though, and not a software code. In case you’re wondering what’s different between 10 and 11, all of the synths are included except these:
@Coloobar @klownshed they've updated the sales page now, and added this "NO DOWNLOADS OUTSIDE THE U.S.!", so probably just as well I didn't chance it!
Collection 8 was already sold out last night, but I bought X last night and the code was in my mail this morning… registered it no problem.
Are you in the US?
Yes
I'm sure this has already been listed, but Baby Audio and Cherry Audio both have some seriously low prices on desktop today.

And in the case of Cherry Audio, I can recommend every synth shown on sale except for a few I don't yet have (Yellowjacket, Novachord+Solovox), otherwise everything else I use regularly.
And let's not forget, ToyBox Audio, which has some great stuff for desktop, including the free Thump One. FM Zone and Buzz Zone are 1/2 off today:
