Man I’m loving the heck out of this. I’m currently working on a cover of Dreams by Fleetwood Mac and since the guitars suck in GarageBand, I was making a synth patch in Elastic OSC to replace the guitar lead and it sounded cool but it didn’t have the grit I wanted . I put this bad boy on and it hit exactly ! That was amazing…this would be a steal at $10 more and yet here we are . Amazing job!
And yeah that’s what I’m gonna leave for the 5 star review on the App Store !
I solo’d the part that TapeScam was used on
Sounds so great! Love hearing what people do with this.
It’s definitely one of those secret sauce apps. My wife and I were watching Gavinski’s video and immediately we were talking about how useful it was gonna be.
1.0.3 is live:
Can't wait to test it out 😉
Really cool little effect. But the knobs bug me a little. Just the way they turn feels off, maybe they move too quickly? Kind of “flicky” instead of smooth? It’s hard to touch a knob and turn it just a little without it jumping, especially at small screen sizes.
Gavinski is gonna love this.
Came across this short of Max Yar jamming with TAPESCAM and even I'm impressed at how good it sounds lol

App Store not posting my review for some reason. Trying to get a 5 star review but not even showing up in my history
I noticed a couple of my reviews not showing up so I did a little checking and none of my reviews exist! After a few experiments I found that nothing I was entering was showing up. Apparently this has been happening for a while. The last reviews that do show up are from 2021.
Same with me. Has also been several years at least. No idea why
@Gavinski @anickt @Fear2Stop
I think anytime an app is updated, the reviews go away, no?
@charlesv
Your app saved my percussion track on a project I’m finishing up. It had some harsh, clicky transients. Both the compressor and transient shaper that i tried eliminated the problem but at the cost of noticeably compromising the punch. Saturation and clipping also had undesirable effects. For giggles I tried Tapescam and it blurred the clicks very nicely while maintaining the punch! 👍
Were you reviewing apps you purchased or ones you had a coupon for?
You can't review apps you got a promo for, I'm talking about ones I bought.
@Blipsford_Baubie I mean I checked shortly after I wrote the reviews and they were never there, even if no update came out. Same problem as Anickt I think
Well, I'm still working on the "pro mode" update, so hopefully some of those reviews stick around. Thanks everyone for giving it a shot, either way!
Jade Starr just did an hour long stream on TAPESCAM including some wild industrial growls.
@Blipsford_Baubie would love to hear the track when it's done!
That’s how it is with me, but randomly, and it seems only on certain apps
As a test, I wrote very simple reviews (This is a great app) with 4 or 5 star ratings for a few different apps that I have “licensed” for a while. They had no recent updates. Waited several days. Nothing. Reviews from 2021 and before are still there on several apps I checked in Ratings and Reviews. The most recent one was for DroneLab in 06/21. I reported the issue but who knows where that will go. Very strange. 😎✌🏼
Has a great distorting quality to it.
1.0.4 is live with a few fixes:
Does the plugin even have a Wet/Dry mix???
Or is the answer to that "DRY = all the knobs set at zero" ???
Clever name! Love it!
Yowza, that is tasty.
For now, turning the knobs down, yes! Otherwise you could use a bus send or other routing.
@charlesv I bought the plugin..... just an idea (it may be good or bad); there is NO plugin, that I know of, on the market that emulates guitar amp feedback. You know.... like the old days where the guitar player moves in front of his amp, and you get that super cool (as long as it didn't get too loud, and they didn't stay in front of the amp too long) sound.
I'd lay down some $$$ in a heart beat if there was a plugin like this.
Would be bonus cool - if you could somehow set the pitch of the feedback - so as you're playing your lead /solo, and you get to that one high note, or to that one place you want the feedback it, you could trigger it, or you could bring it in volume-wise.
Thanks For Great Software!!!
Geoshred does a not bad guitar feedback emulation. Use a distorted preset - I think the 1st one has it set up in the x/y expression. Hold a note and as you move your finger slightly to get vibrato (or if you have auto vibrato turned up) you’ll get some feedback - then move the x/y expression around to play with the feedback. (I can’t remember what the x/y controls right now).
I've been lazy this week but I can't wait to try this app on many things.
This is my favorite app lately. 10/10 @charlesv hope you’ve got some more good stuff in the oven cooking up.
Hope so! Working on some PSX-era reverb, but need to get the UI and trails sounding just right.
