No release date set or promised, and @MatthewAtZenbeats has told us he will get back as soon as he can when he can share more info. Hence, nothing to sort out. It is our own expectations that are at fault here.

We all want to get our hands on this one as soon as possible but we have a lot of stuff to play around with while waiting.

    😊

    Cheers!

I wouldn't say it's expectations that are at fault, rather it's a very natural reaction when something is announced without release date which is in my opinion sh*tty marketing tactics, either keep they should keep quiet without announcing anything months in advance. I know it was NAMM and all and since they had nothing else to show they had to do 'something' :sunglasses:

Personally My interest fades away the longer things get postponed and maybe that's a good thing as I have ZERO intention on getting a Roland Cloud subscription. On top of that I'm slowly moving My focus away from iPadOS back to the Mac...

I’d say it’s pretty normal with some months of development between first show and released software product for a larger company but I can totally understand why it can be interpreted as bad marketing. As usual, YMMV.

Normally you release shortly after demonstrating. The hype is starting to die down. Not even a sniff of any information relative to release date which is pretty poor.

  • maybe they cook something extra with the release of GX Synth. Zenbeats update? Something new?

  • I think Roland are implementing AUv3 before releasing, given how long it's been since the announcement where they said AUv3 wouldn't be implemented right away (if I recall correctly). This is just my uneducated guess. 😂

@MatthewAtZenbeats should get back to us soon I hope.

  • Yes I really hope this delay will bring AuV3 out of the box..

I still think it would make sense (to them) for it to be a Zenbeats/standalone exclusive initially without AUv3 support unfortunately.

I just wish they’d announce the one time purchase price. Once I’m aware it’s way more than I can justify spending, I can treat it as a non starter and ignore it!

Yes same. I'm happy to buy it one-time at standalone prices with the promise of AuV3 at a stated timeline even. Nebulous promise though...idk..

  • I don’t buy anything that’s not Auv3. I don’t sub either.

  • Not going to lie. Starting to feel a little disappointed from the lack of updates.

  • I’m still tuned, but slightly out of key.

This reminds me of the history of Korg AUv3 and the huge collection of Gadgets on top of iM1 and iWavestation that we now have access to.
It's not that we're sitting on dry ground 😄

  • I’m hoping for a late 2026 release
Anything before that will be a nice surprise.

On the official Roland website which was uploaded in Jan it says coming soon. We are almost in the middle of March.

The definition of 'Coming Soon' is always interesting when it comes to marketing in general it could be anything from later today or 'we don't actually know when we'll be able to ship it...', maybe April 1st?

  • I can't believe people get their knickers in such a twist with these things lol. It'll come when it comes, chillax 😂

    Knickers are truly twisted.

I can kinda understand it as it'll be the first proper synth on iOS with genuine Roland sounds in it...
...and to Me it's one of the more interesting releases in a long while...

Yep. Basically almost the entire back catalogue of Roland synths, romplers and drum machines on your iPad. It will be epic.
Even if it’s £100 I’ll be getting it day one.

I guess the wait would worth it, that could also be the reason we haven't seen any updates to Zenbeats in a while.

I can see how most people would think so. I have a bunch of Roland hardware, so I’m hoping that Zenology is more than just old Roland sounds. I’m hoping there is a lot more. There are already some impressive apps on iOS, so Roland should bring their sound library in to 2026 with some impressive new abilities. If it can’t do at least what Obsidian did in 2018, then I won’t think they are trying. So I hope they take their time and make something great.

Yep. Fully aware. I have a Roland MC707 groove box which is also Zencore powered and it sounds amazing. The thought of having these sounds on iPad is salivating.
