Wow that's interesting, you think that you can do the same on iPad? I'd like to get rid of those things ....
Actually, it doesn't allow you to delete them. It just allows you to hide them. They're still part of iOS. You can add them back if you want, but all that's doing is hiding/unhiding from your display.
I went all-in and updated my iPad Air 2 and iPhone 5. Haven't tested everything yet, but so far it didn't break anything other than Auria Pro. I know Rim from Auria warned of that and said he's working on a fix, but I went for it anyway. Still works mostly, but it kept wanted to download all the free extra content whether I wanted it or not. And, I can't see any IAAs anymore. I'm not dependent on it anyway, so I don't mind waiting a bit for the fix.
Has anyone tested bluetooth latency after the update? Maybe it's improved?
I for one would love it if the visual and audio latency using Airplay could be reduced, so as to be workable for using your TV as a large iOS display.
Update:
BeepBoop seems to have problems. Keys won't always register even from initial settings.
Had this too...exit and re-open Gadget and all was fine again. Will need to keep an eye on this one I guess
I've been looking forward to this also. I don't think that the Bluetooth technology will be updated till early 2017.
I think Bluetooth can only be upgraded with a hardware update (new chip) unless it's a minor update. (If you're talking going from Bluetooth 4.2 to 5)
We'll have to wait and see what happens. In the good old 'classic' days Apple issued a BT update that even 'flashed' USB-Keys(DLink) to newer standard.
Same happened with the Wifi hardware when the 802.1g/n standard was approved as standard.
We don't know 'what' hardware the iPhone 7 has built-in yet and we do not know what the W1 chip includes.
I'm just puzzled over the whole BT standard and the slow transfer speeds...
The new BT5 standard should reach at least 2Mbit/s meaning it could in theory transfer uncompressed CD-Quality audio (Stereo 16-Bit 44.1Khz) that needs ~150KB/s which is roughly 1.5Mbit/s.
To me it feels that BT standard was never really intended for Hi-Quality Audio it's just a 'workaround' to use a flawed technology to transfer audio using compression to comply with bandwidth limits. Wifi All the way!
Great point. I get many more pops and clicks when using multiple apps, be it in AB or in AUM. Hope these have been ironed out so I can finally leave 8.4 behind.
Does IOS10 auto download onto iPad and dissapear from view? 1gb has just dissapeared from my iPad

It does auto download it just dragged its heels showing in the manage apps section in the settings.
i'm impressed that there are no horror stories so far.
Hey Sergey, is that you?
Just got a Windows 10 update at the same time so no chance of loading IOS 10!
I am going to be old boring conservative guy. I will wait. I have a good thing going with my iPad and no issues so far. I also dont need any of the new features.
I loaded it on my 6s, so far its running really well. A minor spotify crash when 3d touching to preview (not on purpose, and I think I hate 3d touch, it seems to work when you need it least...) but I'm sure that will get fixed quickly. Haven't done the iPad yet, I may wait a little bit on that.
Oh, and it was said that clicking the x on stocks, etc, doesn't actually delete them, only hide them. Even if that's true, I'm glad I could hide those things, they were in a folder on the list page labeled "unused" anyway. Now if only that could be done with iTunes...
Can someone please tell something more about compatibility with music apps and ios 10. Im still running ios 8.4 on my ipad air 1 and wanna know if cubasis, ipulsaret, borderlands, idensity, samplr, magellan, sunrizer, fluxpad, sector, final touch etc. are working ? Thanks.
Your setup is same as mine. I am running an iPad Air 2.
I have noticed some odd changes to the remaining amount of storage being reported by iOS. Within the one day I've been on iOS 10. The reported storage has changed repeatedly. It has gone down and up. The amount of around 1gb of changes. These changes have happened with no major use that I would have seen such changes under iOS 9.3.5.
Not a major problem, just odd
@Fruitbat1919 Same here. Had a bit more than 5GB yesterday, then last night had 7GB. And now I have 12GB. Very troubling. I had a bit over 6 before upgrade.
ZedSynth got hosed, but a delete/reinstall seems to have fixed.
And on my iPhone 5, the phone... you know the actual phone part?
has been functioning very strange. Somene I called yesterday said his phone was ringing from me, he picked it up, then it started dialing him again during the call as a FaceTime call as well. I clicked to my home screen and it hung up on him and dialed another friend. Toward the end of the call, he was getting no audio from me but I could hear him.
He's on a non-updated iPhone 6.
Also, seems to take noticeably longer to allow me in after I enter my passcode than it did before the update.
I did a couple hard resets and I think it's more stable now, but definitely some weirdness after updating.
Update: just had a couple more calls. Audio was cut off or dropped call in the middle of conversation again. It's a legacy iPhone 5 though. I hope this iOS 10 update doesn't have some forced obsolescence via software built into it.
COURAGE!
Having mail issues on iOS 10. When replying to an email, if I use an emote, I am no longer able to type anything in that email. Can only send the email.
Be interested to hear how you get on over the next few weeks, and if it clears up. I've been thinking about updating my iPhone 5
Cool! Glad to see you around!!
It's mostly pretty solid. I have to add that when I was experiencing most of the weirdness, I was using some cheap bluetooth earbuds. They can cause issues occasionally too. Though, the dropped call this morning was when I wasn't using the earbuds. But, the person I was talking to was walking in an extremely dense area here in Austin called The Domain, that's likely chock full of interference. Couldn't been dropped from her end.
I don't regret updating yet. Mostly smooth.
been running on the 5 since mid beta cycle. some apple apps are slower but no more than i expected and the trade offs worth it i think. Hoping they tune iOS up for older devices after the inevitable bugs get squished
I listen to audio pretty much all day while working through an iCA4+. Today on iOS10 all of a sudden distortion randomly appeared on the audio while listening to a YouTube video. It took a disconnect/reconnect to restore audio to normal. I'm really hoping it was a fluke but this is the kind of shit that makes me insane.
OTOH, finally had a chance to connect ipad to my Line 6 Helix interface tonight and some of the issues I was having with a AB/AUM/Loopy combo on iOS9 appear to be resolved. So overall, I'll take it!
So tell me how is the new multilingual quick type, please.
That's feature I am interested in
