Don't worry your next president will be Arnold Schwarzenegger,Sylvester Stallone or Steven Seagal.
I am struggling to see the relevance of this post on a forum concerned with iOS music making. Which begs the question - where are the fruits of your labours @lala ?
I'd be more interested to hear your music.
I can't find a musical metaphor for this.
Metaphor not required - link to your soundcloud ?
On my SoundCloud are just tech demos.
Kanye or bust.
Arnold has a better shot at Putins job. He wasn't born here so it's a no go.
This, though is totally relevant to this board. Cuz, it's music. And my kids love this song..lol.
I'm gonna cover it at some point, unless @Bluepunk beats me to it.
Update: I recently asked the president elect via twitter if his administration would support Ableton Link. I have not received a response. Literally shaking right now.
He was banned for making personal attacks, no? Also, alt-right fanboys are overusing the snowflake thing.
+1
Which precious snowflake did he personally attack?
Great job!
Thanks
Well, they're not really known for their creativity or originality are they?
Let them have their weak, passive-aggressive put down.
I mean the guy took his name AND avatar from a fictional serial killer. I'm sure he'll be back under another guise if he isn't already.
I bet only a small minority of Trump voters is aligned with the alt-right. Besides, call them all alt-right because of a minority mounts to personal attack, because alt-right is the name neo-nazis use today, and nothing can be more offensive than be called a nazi.
In fact, @richardyot has a point here. Both haters and that small minority of neo-nazi supporters will be disapppinted. Trump used a populist rhetoric to get elected, yes - he's a media man after all - but he's a pragmatic businessman. in fact, he's far from a conservative, so expect him to use protectionist economic policies, and if you think he'll activelly oppose abortion, gay marriage, socialized medicine (he'll just replace Obama's by his own) and go to war with mighty China or mother Russia, think twice. In fact, the only thing he has in common with right-wing thinking is his instance on mexican imigration and Islam.
Ah man, great to hear that again. Thanks. That continuous riff and the snare that snaps vertebrae, sends me to air guitar/drum heaven. Safe, at the moment, cos I'm still working on a complete psychotic destruction of a Joe Dolce classic. But, after listening to that beauty once more............
He's filled his cabinet with Goldman Sachs robber barons and other billionaires. That makes George W. Bush look like Eugene V. Debs. And if your definition of "pragmatic" is "failed, fraudulent and in billions of dollars in hock to the Russians", then yeah, he's very, very, very pragmatic.
And he has NO economic policies. He's not interested in anything except wedging his ass out of the crack he's put it in. He's gonna steal as much as he can until he gets caught, and then he's gonna make a run for it.
And it's the poorest among us who are gonna get screwed the hardest.
Trump has won, Brexit is a fact. Get on with your lives.
In 4 years US citizens have a chance to choose another POTUS
I ain't gonna wait four minutes much less four years to stand up for what's right in my country. I think that orange bucket of shit is a criminal and a traitor, and I'm gonna scream and yell and do everything I possibly can to kick him the fuck out of power and into jail where he belongs. Get in my way at your own risk.
Calm done. Take a deep breath and enjoy life. And think why Trump won
Trump got elected because Americans can't agree on the color of shit.
And it will get worse, more poverty, more violence, more dead unarmed black teenagers shot by some redneck in uniform, more pollution and more puzzled intellectuals that wonder why all of this is happening. &_&
moved to political debate sub forum
Unfortunately I think this was inevitable, whatever the outcome of the elections, remember this is a global problem, Trump and Brexit, ......., .........., are the symptoms.
Well, that escalated quickly.
Blazon, I agree with you completely. But I think we need to not attack those who disagree with us. An astonishing number of people voted for someone who is so completely unqualified for the office. (I mean you can point to any number of things. My latest favorite is that pathetic Twitter picture of him "writing" his inauguration speech. Two days before inauguration. On a legal pad unnaturally bent to prevent anyone seeing that the pad was empty. And the pen he's using? It's a SHARPIE. Oh, my days.)
But let's honor their decision. For many, or even most, it was a vote AGAINST. Rural America will likely suffer the most by the policies Trump has aligned himself with. But we are all on the same team. We're going to need to unite at some point. We need to give Trump supporters a way to back away from this. And we should acknowledge their service to the nation by shaking things up.
So let's unify, let's educate, let's protest. I don't believe for a second that Trump will succeed, but I'm not going to root for his failure. But I'll work for his replacement.
I'm from New York, and we know him well — he's not going to change. He's a reflexive liar who is not quite sure that all men are created equal. He is an insecure, outer-borough narcissist who has never admitted to making a mistake. I have faith, however, that most Americans who voted for him will admit their mistake.
I'm from Texas, from one of the reddest counties in the state. I'm old, crotchety, white, male, etc. I know EXACTLY why he won.
He won because not enough people like me stood up. Not enough people like me did everything we could have, or should have.
Too many people like me were bad neighbors. Too many people like me valued politeness over confrontation. Too many people like me failed as American citizens.
Too many people like me spent the last several years keeping our mouths shut while our closest friends and relatives went down a rabbit hole of evil. We'd hear them drop a slur here, an epithet there, make some insane remark or another about Obama, and we just let it slide. We didn't want to make a scene. And look what happened.
What if we had spoken up? What if, every time we heard someone WE COULD HAVE REACHED make a mistake, we'd have said something? What if we'd have opened a dialogue? Or, if the rhetoric was harsh enough, what if we'd have pushed back?
By and large, everyone knows right from wrong. But sometimes, people need a reminder. And there's no one better to give it than people they know and trust.
But we didn't do it. We were silent.
I'm happy to tell you, that's over as far as I'm concerned.
Never again.
I couldn't agree more with this guy. I've been labelled this that and the other since voting to leave the EU. This guy summed it up nicely. Talk. Debate. Keep an open mind. Don't assume. And do not post weak Facebook memes and think you are a funking genius!
