I could find the Time Display button but not the second Time button you mention later so I couldn't find the way to activate Legato mode.Can you send a screenshot with the exact button Inhave to double tap to get Legato mode?

More likely to be a NRPN - best place to put 'under the hood' tweaks. I'll add that to my list.
Thinking about it, and I'm liking these suggestions on improvements, a new button next to the < & > to shift the sequence (which are midi learnable) would do fine
not sure its double tap - unless you mean double tap to open a panel which allows picking legato? You can even drag your finger around this panel and it changes tempo immediately!
Legato was on MidiSequencer too (top right button)
Noted - clip launching will by several means to allow everyone to use any controller they have to select them.
Ah, my bad - the label is called Tempo & its located on the sequence - so tap on the 1/1 say.
I was intending to have a squarish grid with slots - that way you can drag n drop from a list of sequences into the slot. The pic shows how it looked 2.5 years ago when I started working on it.... You could switch the view of clips between midi bars or info on the clip. This early version had midi files too in clips - all good stuff that could make it to Quantum...
but yeah, interaction is key..
yeah, that would be sweet... just make each of those a squares trigger by tapping fingers on each one. and have those modes i mentioned for each pad. that would be awesome.
by the way. bravo on this app. I haven’t been able to stop playing with it all weekend!
sure - will allow multi-tap too & gestures to treat each as a mini x-y pad. But this is a little way off yet, need to get Quantum a little more polished & bug free..
@midiSequencer User definable skins might be a really nice option. If you allowed access via iTunes to all the panels and buttons, graphics etc then people could design customs skins and share them. Pretty locked to the layout this way but would allow some interesting skin choices.
+1 on the squarish grid performance surface. Would send this into a whole new level of excellence.

I know I'm going to smack myself in the head when I hear the answer but why are there no faders on steps 17-64 when I move from 16 steps to 64 steps?
I assume because the sequence you are looking at has only 16 steps.
If I understand what you're asking make sure the range button for 17-32 is selected. Range buttons are on the left side of the rack just under the faders but are only visible depending on how many steps you have formatted (Fmt). You only see the number of faders for the number of steps that the sequence has been formatted for. I hope that makes sense.
Edit: It has to do with the End step setting. Maybe you have the end step as 16? Actually both the Start and End step dictate which faders you see
Yeah, so it's not completely intuitive. I had set the Fmt to 64 but I didn't set the End to 64 because I figured the app would be smart enough to know that if I changed the Fmt to 64 steps that I probably want the End to be the same. No biggie. Problem solved! Thanks.
Yeh, I agree with @Mayo, too quiet in the balance.
I really had to “ride” the volume between the spoken bits and the app, sometimes the synth sequences seemed to overwhelm the commentary.
I hear you, I’m a better techie than a sales guy and fair play to you for getting a video or two out there but your great app deserves a showcase by the Jakob Haqs of this world who can really make it shine.
This thing has depth for days and I hope it finds wider appreciation.
The app is brilliant but it isn't that smart!
You might want access to all 64 steps but you might want to divide those steps up so that part A is using steps 1-20, part B is using steps 21-31, etc. Several factors affect which faders you see including whether you have multiple parts (A-D) and which one is selected and how many steps each part is using and what the start and end step is for each part. For each part A-D that you select you will only see the faders for the steps that are assigned to it and what the start and end steps are of each part.

I have a physical controller with only eight faders, so is it possible to set it up so that:
A = 1-8
B = 9-16
C = 17-24
etc?
This would be killer for switching pages for that type of controller.

easy to fix - I just need to understand video editing better - only just got final cut pro!
Trouble is this app is difficult to show off if you don't know it well - I've just messaged Jakob but he does seem very focused on the bigger fish like Korg (understandably - they should still offer him a job!).
This is perhaps a sequence bug - or me not completely understanding the synching of parts and sequences. Try the following:
Create Seq 1, 16 steps, with part A 1-8 and part B 9-16. Set the play icon in the rack to be ">". Play it, and it goes smooth as expected, no pauses anywhere, parts are played A, B, A, B, A, B ...
Add Seq 2, 16 steps, set End to 4, set it to be a transpose sequence (value only), set tempo to 1/4. In Setup, set its sequence sync to None.
Set Seq 1 to be transposed by Seq 2, and hit play in bottom left (global play). Now, after the first A,B, there is a pause introduced before every A part plays. Sounds like a bug, no?
The sweet spot for a Haq Attack video with Quantum would be to showcase it as an unlimited source of fresh midi loop material - and keyword the YouTube video with "midi loop sample packs". Midi loop sample packs are expensive and very limited compared to what you can create in 5 minutes with Quantum, and cost way more than the $7.99 spent on Quantum. Web searches for midi loop sample packs don't yield much, and emphasizing this aspect of Quantum would help give a Haq Attack video a shot a prime placement in Google search - and actually give searches a chance to find a product that meets there needs for affordable, fresh midi loops.
**of course, this would be even more convincing once you have midi file export
Something is definitely off here. I think this may be a bug! @midiSequencer-you might want to look at this.
This app is so deep with so many ways to hook it up and use it there is no way to test every scenario!

Fantastic! Those jumping faders were amusing, but much better to have them where they should be.
yep - limits are stored with the file - so many times I've thought this isn't worth it trying to tame them - but hopefully they are better behaved now.

Note: if you're only using one part, there's no need to go to the Format window. Just drag the END parameter to 64 or whatever.
If you go to configure parts, enable more than one part and then turn on 'Slice' mode on the right, it will auto-update the values in the box. So if you have two parts enabled and set the length to 64, it will set Part A to "1-32" and Part B to "33-64". If you disabled Part B, it will update Part A to "1-64".
