It's all good anyway ,the new Yonac was first on my list today and this gives time for your app to become of use if other apps adapt to gain the ability to use it at some point. Now I'm off to find out what the hoopla is about Kauldron. It looks yummy .
Its this https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/odessa-sequencer-suite/id1292546479?mt=8&uo=4&at=1l3voJz
Immediately rectified. Not sure why my link copied incorrectly from your Youtube movie.
Edit: you'll need to click Doug's link from a mobile device, on desktop it seems to strip the token off for some reason only known to Apple.
Instabought with Doug’s link!
That’s very odd, I just checked it from my desktop and watched it log the click, seems OK here
Its fantastic. Although doesn't appear to like Axon 2 too much - just one pounding beat regardless!
In Axon, switch to internal clock and leave it "stopped".
I have been testing this and it works just as brilliantly with external synths, drum machines and samplers
Using a USB audio interface I route the audio from the synths back into AUM for recording...adding FX etc....
One thing to add to Dougs video is the fact that you can also use the drum machines (rhythm and x0x) for playing melodies and chords as well if you use the MIDI settings to change MIDI notes being sent out from them to match the key you are working in....you can even set up an arpeggiator module, then send MIDI to that from the drum machines to change chords etc....If I want the MIDI more 'permanent' I simply record it onto either my circuit or electribe sampler, you can of course record it into your DAW of choice.
Setups can get complicated but the AUM changes already being done are going to make these a lot easier to manage and navigate.
The phrase game changer gets thrown around here a lot...this to me really is a game changer....the future is not only bright, but the future is here.
@brambos and @j_liljedahl Thank you guys so much for this, you have made an old ageing wannabe star very very happy.
This looks very clever, and as a genuine midiot I’d need intense tutorials on how to use this...
I guess this is kind of a lemur type thing but easier? I’ve been holding off on lemur cause I’m a midiot.
@brambos you have my money but are you setting up tutorials for this thing?
I’m excited about those XYpads
So... those xy pads could be set to control the parameters in zeon??
Ditto- hope the Cubasis guys adopt the standard.
this is extremely easy to setup, you only need to connect odessa to an auv3 instrument (one tap in the connection matrix) -- and that's it!
Yes they can indeed
Got it....having fun alreadayyyyy
Absolutely!
I already have two 60-second tutorials on Youtube. One shows how to set up the LFO with Model 15. The XY assignment works the same way, with any AU.
in other words, not at all like lemur -- it's more like an extension to AUM
Really? That’s it???
It’s gonna be a late night then lol
Nice
Yes, definitely, was just doing that and it’s as fun as it sounds.
yep, extremely easy to use, by design.
for the sequencers though, you also have to press play -- so for those, it's two taps
Any chance (in future updates) to run it standalone on older iPads for sequencing external gear? My ipad4 can't iOS11
((
Can see it in the Welsh store and via Doug's link now.
Bollocks, I'll have to update to iOS11 now look.
Got it as soon as the title of the thread changed ::: Awesome, congratulations Bram Bos
My thanks! If only all customer support was like this!
Okay, got this through Doug’s link. Have nice rhythm working udung Troubkemaker.
But can’t get arpeggio to work with anything. Most likely me doing something wrong. Will check YouTube for more videos, once I’ve charged this iPad.
BTW, can this control AniMoog?
be sure to connect it to the keyboard and hit a few keys ...
Here is my middy routing for the Arp of Odessa effecting Zeeon
You must have AUMs keyboard sending midi to Arp then Arp to the sound generator of choice.
This... if you see dots appear in the scope the input is working. If you're still not hearing anything then check if the outgoing MIDI is going somewhere, or if the receiving synth is expecting MIDI on a specific channel (usually this is not necessary unless the user has changed this previously)
Here’s a pic of just the routings needed for Arp to Zeeon (so as not to complicate what I was doing in the other pic)

In my first pic, I am also playing Zeeon direct from the keyboard as well as via an Odessa Arp. This is quite effective for making an initial keystroke then having an Arp play afterwards - try it, it’s fun.
