I want no part in the arguing! Sorry I mentioned it
You see, that’s the problem. This secret ‘I can’t tell you’ club thing. If you can’t tell me or other outsiders when the release date is, or even which month it’ll arrive, then we only have what’s written in the thread to go by. And on this very page, it’s been stated:
“very open to the many suggestions from users in this thread as well as from all the different beta testers with their different opinions and preferences. His feature request list must be endless now. With every single feature added, two new requests seem to appear.
The challenge is not only to make users with different priorities happy but also to keep the huge amount of control options manageable by humans like you and me without cluttering the UI.
All this is still work in progress”
Which to me, as someone who’s worked in software and web development for about 30 years, sounds like an ongoing project, not a product close to release.
You know, it’d be great to be able to buy this soon. No pressure, just pandemics n shit.
Yeah that’s right, it’s just me being a PITA as usual.
Not arguing though, just trying to break through the Great Wall of Drambo and get some kind of release date.
@giku_beepstreet’s track record and work in progress on this speaks for itself. However, and I do truly mean this supportively for someone who has clearly put their heart and soul into this thing, I do wonder if the perfect might not risk becoming the enemy of the good here?
Snark aside, there is an issue that tweaks to tweaks to features to updates to accommodate IOS updates etc could become a hamster wheel in place of a road map.
Might it, if only for the dev’s own peace of mind be, ahem, time to ‘let it go’?
I remember the devs comments re an early 2020 release date last year, but I agree that @rs2000’s ‘update’ comment above made it sound on the contrary that a new release date is in fact stretching months or even years now into the future. Perhaps @rs2000 is unintentionally trolling us, but still...
So my personal preference at this (hopefully) late stage would be to have it released ‘as is’, and wait for it to be ‘fixed in the mix’ afterwards if necessary, and to go the IAP route for future significant additions/modules etc.
I’ve lost count of the number of buggy, inconsistent music apps I’ve paid good money for, and still managed to have some fun with, even if those apps never even got fixed. I know that a dev like beepstreet won’t let that happen to his baby here, so I’m prepared to take the risk. If only so I didn’t have to keep checking this thread like a PC Gamer true believer waiting for news that a new Half Life was coming, or a Fallout 76 that actually works...
After all, enough of the beta testers seem to be having fun with it/doing useful things with it as-is don’t they? Personally, I would be prepared to pull the trigger and release the damn thing. But then, I’m not Mr Beepstreet.
Can you send a miRack patch that does one of the sounds that you have in mind?
+1
This drambo seems to be a neverending story... There was an oficial word for a release in late december/new year...
I understand your frustration. Different people see different things. What I see is the focus is not of endless feature requests but getting it ready for release soon as possible. I hope you'll feel a bit better sir.
People on this forum: Behringer is trying to put out a DAW in a year and a half? Preposterous. No way.
Also people on this forum: tHiS HUge ApP iS taKInG tOo lOnG
Again, what was the professional reason in throwing Drambo out , not having a clear timeline or close to a clear product timeline development ? Keep it where it belongs and you won't risk having an outdated self-consumed product.
Blimey, I haven’t been called sir since the last time I was arrested. You are aware this thread is two years old?
Did you read this bit:
“very open to the many suggestions from users in this thread as well as from all the different beta testers with their different opinions and preferences. His feature request list must be endless now. With every single feature added, two new requests seem to appear”
and this:
“All this is still work in progress”
That seems to contradict what you’re saying, but a date would certainly make me feel better
It’s coming very very soon but maybe I shouldn’t be spoiling the surprise? 🤑
hihi, well i would go for my view and bet on being proven wrong.
.
“ thistle set the opinionocracy a twitting fer shaw!”
Marjory, is that green stain on your blouse a small sample of The Major’s delicious gooseberry jam?
OR SOMETHING MORE SINISTER?
The product has fed off the suggestions in this thread. Even if it hadn't, I don't see how it would be unprofessional.
Egads, this sure looks and sounds like DerVoco to me!
it’s actually a Wheatgrass poultice Klarinda my dear... and DEFINITELY NOTHING to do with that rather proud gladiola stem i was stroking from Mr Egesst’s prize winning arrangement in the Rotary Tent. One would simply die for a bottle of Cif out here on the common.
It might be a revolutionary marketing approach in music technology industry. I see ios apps exactly the same as hardware products. I might not be aware, but I didn't hear major companies announcing they have an lcd screen for their upcoming product,...which they don't know yet...what/when that screen will show off...is that professional enough? > @jipumarino said:
and repeat...
Subscription is a definite “No”. It wouldn’t work on the App Store because there are so many other cheap a d good apps to get without being forever tied into one .
I'm just hear to encourage Clash references.
I ask myself "should I stay or should I go" every time I drop in hear.
Doesn’t matter where you go.
Drambo’s calling to the faraway towns. Ain’t no need for ya.
I do not use miRack. I prefer more the analog side of modulars. (Model 15 on iOS, P900 on mac which is quite the best for these kind of modular sounds f.e.).
Since Zeeon has that nice analog flavor and it seems Drambo can do everything and more Zeeon can do i could imagine that these things are possible now. It might also be the only modular which is actually fun to use on an iPad/iPhone.
As much as i like Model1 5, the workflow is terrible for me.
This indecision is bugging me. Esta indecisión me molesta.
Here some parameters locked to scenes and controlled by the crossfader plus some main transpose. On a iphone 6s. Not related to your request for specific sounds which im sure @rs2000 will show you in great mannor.
No samples just drambo syntheses, nothing special and low quality video but maybe you like.
I might appreciate this, but the Shareef don’t like it.
Am I going to get this before I get Coronavirus?
No.
