Surely there’s such thing as troll’s code of conduct!

Man, high school was great. Seriously. It was a blast for little stuff like that. I feel bad for the people who had a shit time of things in high school.
If anyone deserves a demo/beta of Drambo, it’s @espiegel123
Have a heart..
which, funnily enough, was Exactly the track i was thinking of
. i much preferred the Dennis Bovelled torture dungeon of the first album to any “white man in hammersmith palais”
but, y’know...each to his own..
“there are NO spectators.. you participate whether you like it or not “
seems entirely appropriate for the current hand wringing/washing climate..
Naw. I'll wait till it's released. Just given giku food for thought.

The Pop Group certainly had a harder edge than the Clash. IIRC, critics of the time took both to task for different reasons: The Clash for their yob-ish self-mythologizing. The Pop Group for their humorless, pronouncements. I liked them both, but they inhabited different worlds for me.
The secret weapon is the Graphic Shaper in bipolar mode.

You can create a multi-segment "curve" to map any input signal level to any output signal level.
A simple, classic saturation curve would look like this but nothing stops you from going wild like in wavetable distortion etc.:
In this case, a triangle waveform is (roughly, I should have been more precise at curve editing 😅) re-shaped to a sine-like waveform.
Nice!
But let us hear how it sounds. I prefer audio demos. In theory a lot synths offer kind of multi stage envelopes for saturation but at the end the the output is what counts.
Let me hear a saturated brass
Oh man @rs2000 that looks sweet!!! Is that curve automatable?
EDIT: NM, I see it. This will be industrial AF
I see you have been very thoughtful and concerned about the current Corona virus situation. Keep up the good work! Infact I now have flu symptoms. I have to stay home for two weeks.
Drambo can’t be released until it is ready or it will cause issue for the dev. Plus some users will be unhappy if they came across any issue.
What you can do is crossfade between two (or more) shapers and that can be automated indeed.
As you seem to have a specific sound in mind, I suggest to do it the other way 'round:
Feed a triangle waveform through your favorite saturator (make sure you try different input gain settings!), record it and watch the resulting waveform.
That's basically what you'd have to draw in the shaper.
People who know how to code could make this an automatic process because @giku_beepstreet was wise enough to use the XML format for presets so a good coder might convert a saturation waveform snippet to an XML dict which can be loaded in the graphic shaper.
The bottom left is coordinate (0.0,0.0) and the upper right is (1.0,1.0).
High-resolution floating point values are supported.

@shiro: I wish you a speedy recovery.
Does the graphic envelope have a similar interface?
With those modules it would be really cool to have an A and B state that you could morph bethween.
in the in the initial flurry of all those seven inchers turning up in those years i did get both Remote Control & Complete Control from the seedy underground market stall in manchester city centre.. but my tastes soon veered off into more esoteric sounds.. i was, after all, a spotty angst ridden teen myself with many a humourless/earnest moment to come.. one thing that really put me off the Clash vibe was a so called friend called Jonathon who was into Strummer big time, he persuaded me and another friend to have a fun weekend in Blackpool and then handily ‘forgot’ his wallet, i ended up paying his B&B bill and everything else for him over 3 days.. never got the money back and discovered after the fact how much all his Strummer bondage trousers and other Clash wannabe clothing cost from his Kings Road trips to the south..
that line “ they got Burtons suits , you think its funny, turning rebellion into money “ always stuck in my throat as a deep hypocrisy on messrs Strummer and his ilks part . though, of course, they are not responsible for Jonathons dickheadedness.. probably!
why are you trolling? are you angry?
@Shiro Your rocky mountain painting gave me a new idea:
Rhythmic envelopes! 😃
nice to have a sync to that but a request for the future...
Good one. I love the ones in Alchemy where you can drag several points at the same time or stretch them and so on.
Oh and while i see the graphic envelope. Do it also allows adjusting the curve between points?
you are mistaken, a polite conversation with mr @ALB is far removed from trolling. my reminiscing is partially an explanation of my Clash allergy. newcomers ( youngsters?) like yrself might not quite ‘get’ the anecdote culture of this forum.. but calling someone a Troll definitely should be kept in reserve for occasions when it’s appropriate.
.. and no, not even slightly angry, just, as usual, bemused
You are trolling even if bemused :-)
@Shiro The future is now! Why not use the graphic envelope for rhythmic modulation as-is? 😉
@Clueless No curves between points, you'd have to approximate them manually. Usually that's good enough and the editor is quite a large window, good for rather precise editing.
p.s. “critics of the time” Parsons, Birchall et al calling bands humourless or self-mythologising was a whole other level of hypocrisy.. i knew an ex girlfriend of Mr Stewarts for a time and by all accounts he was/is a very funny & intelligent gent.. any aversion to the Little Strummer Boys pales into insignificance next to my exasperation with music journalists (still)
@thatguysmitty @ExAsperis99
In light of the earlier Jay Elec jokes...
JAY-ELECTRONICA ALBUM DROPPED TODAY AND DRAMBO IS STILL UNRELEASED!!!
LMAO!!!
oh! you’re one of THOSE. and we were thinking the Covid was the main contagion to worry about 😷
