“Assigning significance to...” “and “seems odd to me” would have been a better choice of words on my part.

I am one of those who are not a fan of the modular approach. I always seem to be counter current on this forum but that’s me. I own audiobus and I bought it to support the creator of this fine forum but I hardly ever use It. I see no reason why I would buy AUM or Drambo.
I like the DAW paradigm, when I have time for music, I do not wanna to waste it on plugging stuff together. I record and sequence in CB2 (CB3 buggy), and my audio editing and mixing in Auria Pro. My very poor skills at mastering are done in Grand Finale.
So why am I telling you all of this? Not to attack the modular crowd. Many people on this forum are trying to figure out their work flow . So I want to say to them, modular is not the only way.
Hey @tahiche - I just confirmed the Nembrini Voice DC30 problem in Zenbeats and did a bug report through their portal.

I totally get it. If there was a daw that did all the things I wanted I probably would never have made the jump to modular. I’m glad I did though - I like having (almost) no limitations and I’m a bit of a nerd so happy to plug things together 🤓
I am not a modular head and love to just sit down and make music. However I like flexibility and this led me to apps like Drambo.
Don’t for one second imagine that I spend much time plugging and rearranging stuff though. Once my presets are in place all I do is recall them and play. The difference is that I can do what I desire even if it’s out of ordinary.
What is it that you are missing from a DAW ? In my case I use two DAW, playing on their strength at each stage of production. Also in my mind it makes a lot of sense to separate recording/sequencing from mixing/editing and mastering.
Interesting way to look at it. I guess the music I make would be considered more traditional maybe that’s why I am satisfied wiping the DAW paradigm. Can you describe your product base setup?
You can still be modular while working with a DAW. For example using Atom2 as the midi editor because the one in your daw sucks plus you get many extra features. The same can be said about using Drambo or something like it to sequence drums with all the extra randomization, probability, etc...
Thanks, I will look at Atom 2 it maybe the solution to my frustration with CB3 midi editor.
Drambo is not for me and for drums I am trying out DigiStix lately. Seems like it will work for me. I do wish Toontrack would join the iOS game. That would be my dream setup.
DigiStix added midi pattern switching in the latest update. You can program the drum patterns there and trigger them from the daw,

I was not aware of that. Thank you for the info.
I can’t remember now exactly but I enjoyed using different ones for a while then always found a limitation that bugged me. In the end I wanted to be able to use FAC Envolver properly and the only place I could at the time was AUM with multi out, at least I think it was multi out.
Exactly like you though, I do my mixing and mastering in a daw (cubasis 3). I think of AUM as my recording studio, exactly as you suggest.
