Drag and drop support of midi files to AUv3 (without import dialog) works really well 😊👍
That's awesome!
Where can I found Q button for quantize after recording?
Open the clip properties panel by pressing the “i” button top right, then open the "note tools" section. Quantization will be applied to selected notes, you can select a few or all by clicking the “select all” button. Then just press the “quantize” button:

branis thank you 💪🤛
@sinosoidal Thanks for adding drag and drop! Noticing some odd behavior behavior though, depending on the midi file imported.
I exported midi files from Atom 2, and they are not importing at all with drag and drop; file import works fine. Not working on iPad Pro 9.7 2016 13.6 or iPad 2018 9.7 14.4.
Loopbud exports are only importing to the 1st clip slot in top left corner on 14.4, regardless of how many tracks there are and where you drag and drop. Creates new tracks under 13.6.
Also, used exports from Piano Motifs, but those appear to multiple channel midi files, even when it's a single melody export. These are creating multiple tracks, which is likely expected behavior on 13.6 and 14.4.
For drag and drop, is it possible to support dropping onto clips rather than creating new tracks?
In first place let me thank @blueveek as he as helped me unlocking an important detail with the drop action on iOS. Thank you @blueveek!
So if you use the import dialog everything works as expected?
If you use the import dialog everything works as expected?
Are you able to send me those files so I can use them for testing?
I'm not sure if the drop action on iOS will allow me to know the exact x/y location of the AUv3 windows where the drop occured. Likely not.
Thanks for your feedback!
Community vibes. Devs helping devs. This is what I like about this forum. So good to see.
Was gonna say the same. Love it!.
@sinosoidal , @blueveek & @j_liljedahl over here collaborating on the ultimate daw ❤️
Once it’s perfect, give it a couple years before Behringer clones it.
Fuck Behringer!
LoL! That comment alone will bring their lawyers to your door.
updated... thanks... digging in..
Hi all, trying to save a Custom Scale on LK’s Keyboard page, just doesn’t appear to be a way to do it, what am I missing?
This collaboration warms my cockles! 🥰
Do you mean MATRIX keyboard or KEYBOARD module?
Is there a way to crop just what’s in the loop marker?
Selecting from long files seems quite difficult..
And a little more room for the loop marker would be nice also..🙂
Thanks..
Hi @sinosoidal , have you any news about this?
Thanks
We are aiming fix for that to next version 1.10.5. Beta testing should start next week. Sorry for the delay!
Great, I'm in beta and will try it. Thanks so much
I got this and bought the Matrix IAP. I have been specifically looking for the ability to launch clips via MIDI. This is a pretty long thread, and as far as I got I haven't seen that it exists, only a note that it may happen in the future. Then I looked at the Version History in the App Store and don't see it there either. Has it been added yet?
Yes. You can launch clips via midi.
Just enable MIDI Learn, tap a clip, send midi. Now you can launch that clip.
Thanks! I was about half way to getting there on my own. I was able to get a key to launch a clip and was working on how to do the second one, but wasn't quite there. I'll go back and try again. Yup! That did it!
Later edit:
The MIDI learns don't get saved when you save the LK project, but do get saved with you save the AUM project. I've also discovered that MIDI learns across more than one scene get strangely shuffled. But for the most part if I can live with these weirdnesses, it does what I want.
For anyone hesitating to buy a LaunchPad for use with Atom 2... LK can be that MIDI Control surface with Matrix installed.
For some it's LK or Atom 2 but for me it's LK or LaunchPad. Atom 2 is a given.
Nice idea!
Nice catch. Will be fixed
This will be fixed on the forthcoming 1.10.5 planned for this week. Beta starting soon. If you are not on TestFlight and would like to be, please send me a pvt message with your TestFlight email.
