I can tell a similar story: so, they do have an outstanding customer service, including on Sundays!

  • Looks like a potentially useful tool, but unless it’s seamlessly integrated into the DAW of one’s choice, it’s not really for me. I just rely on my increasingly failing hearing. ;)

    Agreed! Very generous!

🤣 am I the only spectrogram police on this forum?

In the app store they also say that if you bought one of their apps already, they now give you a code for another one. Offer valid until end of June.

I bought Bass Leveler a while back, so I asked for a code for Maze Rider, they replied within 3 minutes (I mean, what? :) ), sent me a code in a very nice email and also added that I can now freely download Deep Wave as well as there is a promo going on.

I'm not sure how it works for them, but this is immaculate customer service. 👏👏👏

Yea I just read that. That’s really cool.

  • Any body have Ambient Room X ? How’s that?

I already have web audio and radio Au, so any opinions on podcast Au?

  • Great catch. Cheers!

Awesome, thanks! that’s the one I went with since I have a couple AU apps that can play podcasts, and own the other ones.

Really nice with the modulation as well. Cheers!

  • These apps have been fluctuating in price rather frequently but still are currently on sale none the less.

7XWave Sample Sequencer is $2 off down to $1.99

  • IDousyn is Free usually $1.99 - it’s a little dated, but has IAA & Midi. Comes with a lot of sounds. iPad only I believe.

    https://apps.apple.com/us/app/idousyn/id421852860

  • Four Fourty is Free usually $1.99 - helps you learn to tune a guitar by ear.

  • MidiMixer, NuRack and Lyricist by 4Pockets are on offer. Very interested in NuRack, would you say it's worth it if I already have MixBox?

I bought it recently and I think they offer different things. NuRack is a swiss army knife of bits and pieces which you can use to create your own plugin templates. I have created this for you which shows all of the modules available as they are not really documented:

Paul keeps adding new modules so you get a lot for your money. Some of the modules are lite versions of some of the full 4Pockets apps.

  • Interested in the CC midi generator. Can you use to send CC10,1 are bar 10 etc etc

It can send the CC but you would need something to trigger it at the appropriate time as there is no “send cc at bar x” option.

  • Is it expecting a note to then trigger the cc? If so could use atom etc

Thanks bro. The price seems like a really good deal for that, and I could use a few of the modules there for AUM. So I'll bite.

So what is it?. Some sort of reverb thing, or how is it different?. Does it actually sound like a room?. It’s hard to tell with the pad on the video, I’d love to hear how it sounds with more percussive elements.

  • I bought NuRack, what sealed the deal for me were the MIDI effects. For the price, I don't think you can do anything wrong there.

  • Nu rack is a build your own or use presets to make custom audio and midi fx app. It’s one of the better 4 pockets app. I like and use several 4 pockets apps.

It’s somewhat different because it also has a bunch of midi fx as well as audio fx. And you can combine and create things with the various layouts to make your own audio and midi fx.

It’s subtle but nice. Not a world beater but I like it. It was free with the deal Pham Thang has going on, you have to send an email and have purchased one of the developers apps before. Read App Store description for details.

do You know if midi mixer as a module in Nurack is very different than Midimixer as a separate app?

  • NuRack is pretty handy to have around, the tuner alone gets a lot of use for guitar and oscillators from me. Not enough auv3 tuners available. It’s nice for a quick fx chain as well and much deeper but I’m lazy and focused on Drambo

  • Couple quick questions…

Does Nu Rack have a lot of useable presets? It does have a page on Patchstorage, but last time I checked it had no uploads.

How difficult is it to learn the app? To create your own audio or midi fx? I’m sure it depends on how complex the creation is, but in general?

  • There’s probably about 20-25 presets that it comes with, some are pretty basic and some a bit more complex like some guitar rack effects chains and stuff and they are all pretty good to dissect to learn the flow of the signal. Basic stuff is pretty easy but I do admittedly get a bit stumped sometimes with it if I’m trying to do something more complex. You can use it easily just as a rack effects unit though with serial and parallel routings, with close to the ease of doing it with something like IFX with more custom options and a pretty low cpu hit as well from just the stuff I’ve done with it. I think it’s supposed to be his app that’s like Drambo but not as complex and more immediate but still lots of options like modulation and stuff
