It felt more direct. Like a DOS app.
Mouse clicks and control keyboards had no latency, because I was only controlling external hardware synths/samplers.
The stuff that came out after felt like cpu resources were wasted on “operating system within an operating system within an operating system” even when controlling external gear.
I agree 100%. VSTs were great but because of them we lost expanders. On my setup I had roland and korg expanders, controlled by a 486 and a serial midi. Now we have great hardware, but completely underpowered by a bad OS and some strange commercial strategies (on iOS now the cpu power can deserve much better software, I think that Cubase VST running on Mac 15 years go would happily work on iPad Pros).

Has anyone used to this doesn't make it any easier for music say aum audiobus send a bunch of a UV3s doesn't help automate things any better?
I got it the last time it was free, and I couldn’t figure out anything audio related except for automatically exporting audio from a video. But I haven’t looked into more of it as I’m not very literate in much of how the app works. I have gotten audiobus since, so if it could automate some of my most used moves in that, that’d be nice, so maybe I gotta take a look next chance I get. Maybe the automations are shareable too, in which case if anyone has any useful ones for music production use and don’t mind sharing, please do.
