  • This is a must watch movie for comedy fans, What We Do In The Shadows, which has also been made into a tv series on FX, and is in season 3. I recommend the movie about as strongly as I recommend anything. This series is so great too. Watch both.

    Series season 1 trailer

  • Here’s a short list of TV series and shows ive enjoyed over the last 6 months or so….

    The walking dead final season.
The North Water on AMC+ It’s a 5 episode Limited Series
    Billions on Showtime.
    Dave on FX
    Snowfall on FX
Miracle Workers on TBS, not bad.
    Mare of Easttown HBO
Last Week Tonight with John Oliver HBO

I watch lots of repeats of my favorite shows in the background while I work and do other things. Like, South Park, which is still going strong, It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, one of my personal favorites of all time, & the Office (US). I’ve seen every episode of these three shows many times over yet they still make me laugh, and provide the perfect background to half pay attention. I do some work, catch a joke here and there, and back to work.

  • 2 episode into Y - The Last Man on Fx. It’s been very good so far!

  • This is the last season of Walking Dead?

  • I bought my dad a firestick and he then discovered the world of youtube. Now whenever I visit we spend an hour watching his country videos. Not my kind of stuff, but this video he likes kind of grew on me and I have found myself watching it at home sometimes now.

It’s Ricky Skaggs singing “don’t get above your raisin”. The guitar solos in it are pretty hot for a country band in the early 80’s, especially at 2:55 mark

I always liked this one by the same band. The lyrics are a cut above your usual revenge country song:

  • School of Rock !

Yup of the original show, they have like 3 spin-offs, but yes they are like 4-5 episodes into the final season.

That looks good but unfortunately I don’t have Hulu. I really want to watch reservation dogs. It’s actually made by the same guy who did “what we do in the shadows” that I mentioned above.

‘Black Mirror’ on Netflix. The first ep I saw was Season 4 Ep 1 “The Callister’, which was a mind-blowing intro to this series. Most of the rest of the eps are classics in their own ways.

Love this series, but last season has been not interest. I think I can advise you "Love, death and robots" in similar genre

Have not sampled (ha!) LD&R yet, but am told by reliable sources episodes either very hot or quite cold etc.

  • UCI Road World Championships. And it's very good, so far.

Almost done with five seasons of The Bureau. Really. Very. Good.

Watched the first 2, very good! The 3rd season was only available via an obscure World Cinema (which I love) subscription, but at the time there were limited other titles to make it worthwhile.

Now I know there's three further seasons to watch I'll have to take another look.

    The Bureau:

    Season 3 completed.

    Almost done on S4.

    Really good!

Thanks for the reminder on this one Johnny!

Uncut Gems was pretty good - but Good Time was a better film.

How the Director of Good Time didn't get Best Supporting actor for his role I have no idea....

It is one of those shows (for me at least) where I am now thoroughly jealous that you are still at the table I already gorged myself at etc...

Whoa there’s a series? How did I miss this? I read the comics and it’s a master piece. Really well written, and I always thought it would lead itself very well to be made a series

Edit: just a quick glance at imdb reviews it seems the adaptation is a letdown. I’ll reserve my judgement till I’ve actually watched it, but now I’m curbing my enthusiasm. I guess we really can’t have nice thinks

  • I didn’t Photoshop this…
