You can already import from Dropbox and audio paste though it's an iap. Are you guys looking for more import options?
I like being able to add directories now.
Thanks for the update with the directories guys. My samples are now all organised into a folder for each song.
All I need now is a way of saving my song with the associated samples onto dropbox, so that I can move them on and off the device easily as I please
Question, How do I get Launchpad to remember that i have looked at news items. If I read them the app stops showing them, but if I exit and go back in, the 9+ items are marked again. It means I am missing news updates as I do not know when new ones are there ?
Hey Andy, we're looking into it now. Sorry you're experiencing this. Thanks for letting us know too.
@Launchpadforios Keep up the work; we are paying attention
PLEASE ALLOW ME TO ACTUALLY DELETE THE SAMPLE PACKS. ALL OF THEM. thank you. i am running out of space. PLEASE.
Love the free "remix" pack. It may be my favourite of all the free packs so far. Could just be that it's the newest but I don't think so. Having lots of fun with it.
We found this one. Should be fixed in the next release.
It might be worth checking if you have imported a lot of audio files too, inside the app . Sometimes this can cause the app's overall size to get quite big.
Thanks @redo1 , lots of users are already doing some pretty creative stuff it.
Oooh.. @Launchpadforios you're here. Maybe my question will be third time lucky?
Please tell me where I can find the BPM info on Launchpad for iPhone.
Thank you.
Also, @Launchpadforios Will packs I buy for iPad get to be transferable to iPhone. And will the Launchpad mini hardware get an update enabling configurable midi destinations? Thanks.
It was a fresh install, after the packs I bought were deleted there's still 300+mb of "documents and data" for around 700mb total.
Thank you !

Sounds like you've been trying to get hold of us? Apologies if we haven't responded sooner. iPhone currently doesn't have a change tempo control. I think this ties into some other request from this forum on having audio import on iPhone, and generally making the iPhone more more of a powerful creation tool.
Yes. If you log into the iPhone as the same iTunes user, you can just download any previously purchased packs on the iPad, for free. Or just hit restore all to get all of them (but beware of how much space your iPhone has free first)
And will the Launchpad mini hardware get an update enabling configurable midi destinations? Thanks.
Sadly it won't. We've reserved this functionality for the Launchpad Pro hardware.
When using audiobus with Launchpad as the input- the little icons/tag at the side to return to audiobus get 'stuck' - they remain in place and do not respond meaning that I have to use the button to return to audiobus. This does not happen with any other app. I have an Air 2 with latest os. I have deleted reset and reinstalled. Any ideas?

300MB sounds about right for the six packs we give away for free. Being honest here, removing these free six packs as part of the basic install is a greater challenge than it may seem. In the short-medium term, these will remain un-deletable, but we understand the reasons why users would want to remove them, especially to save space on older devices.
Thank you for your replies
I'm not wanting to change the tempo. I want to see what the Tempo IS, so I can get my Jam in Sync.
I can't find the info on iPhone version anywhere, via the pack store, the actual pack or UI. Is it somewhere?
@ Launchpadforios
1) Since most of the best IOS apps will soon implement Ableton Link, will you follow the move ?
2) Will a "Recording samples" function allowing us to create looping tracks on the go ever be implemented ?
3) Is there a way to Import folders into the app not just individual files ?
Thks for your answers.
We have a great relationship with Ableton, and have been following Link closely. At Present, Launchpad is a Sync Master Only. For us to do Ableton Link properly, we'd need to add the ability for Launchpad to be a slave.
We'd personally love to see something like this. As I mentioned in a previous post, maybe there are some cool new ways we could do this.
Yes. That has just been added and is available now, however there is a small bug right now where you need to really make sure you import files into the sub-folder. Importing into the root folder does't work (the bug). The fix is in review in the app store right now, and should be out immanently.
Hey SpookyZoo, sorry again for the poor response here. Indeed you're correct, there isn't a way on iPhone right now to 'see' the tempo on iPhone. I've just had a thought that one simple place we could add this, is in the pack description in the store? At least you'd be able to find it there.
Thank you for the response.
That's where I searched first. So that would be great.
I record bits and bobs on the phone while travelling, then save into Audioshare and like to add the BPM to file name, so I can use them in Live/Launchpad sessions later.
Cheers
Great. I'll add that to our hit list.
@Launchpadforios
I would love to be able to copy one whole effects setup between sessions. Is this possible, or possible for you guys to implement?
They should put the effect triggers on Audiobus Remote to re-enable the bottom rows of clips. Maybe. I dunno.
I have been giving launchpad a workout over the last couple of weeks, and have been putting loops from my previously created tunes into it, and creating song files to go with them. Doing this I have found launchpad to be a great way of experimenting with different arrangements, and also freeing me from some of the habitual restraints (things you do by habit rather than forced by the software) of a typical DAW, loop mode in a DAW really does promote repetitiveness.
I am now at the point where I want to start moving files back off my 16GB ipad Mini 2, so that i can convert more of my old tunes. I now hit a snag.
If I remove the samples from the imported folder, the sample gets removed from the pad in the song file. Usually a nice feature, but in this case a royal PITA.
I can see no way of backing up or sharing the song files first to avoid this. The only option I can see at the moment is to draw a physical diagram of the song with all samples, gain, loop settings etc on it, so that i can recreate it if I want to put the song and samples back on at some time in the future, when in all honesty I would have probably lost the diagram.
What I would like to be able to do is share my song file to dropbox (preferrably zipped along with the samples), and then have the ability from DropBox to 'Open In' the zip file to Launchpad to get the song and samples back onto the device when I want.
this would make a nice Xmas present
Pretty Please
Just got the update and the news notifications is fixed. Thank you.
