I think I've found a bug in Launchpad. When importing a loop into Launchpad using audiocopy (general pasteboard not Audiocopy app) and i change the name in the import screen (same screen you specify the BPM or length) it is losing the last character of the new name.
Import file and name it Kick, once imported it is called Kic
For now I am renaming the file again once I have imported it, so no biggy, just a bit of an annoyance.
please add native "audio import" option to Launchpad for iPhone (as already on iPad).
Update: By using 'Open In' rather than audio paste, the name is already populated and does not get shortened when importing.
So, Audiopaste into another app that supports Open In (Audioshare/Cubasis) first, then no need for renaming file after import.
Yes, you can do this already. Simply navigate to Edit FX, and there you can save whole FX set-ups (in the bottom right corner), for use later in any other session. We use this frequently here at the office to show-off our favourite ninja FX set-ups.
Your welcome. Thanks for notifying us of the issue.
That's cool thanks for the reply.
Launchpadforios will you be implementing panning?
I'll be honest and say it's not top of our list right now, but that doesn't mean that can't change. Do you need it for importing mono sounds panning, or for stereo width changing on stereo samples?
both but mainly for panning organic mono sounds
thanks for your consideration.
At least for using the IAP functions like FX and Audioimport.
- Help is available inside the app near the Audio Import menu
- A video is available on your tube:
- We also have a series of articles on our tumblr: http://launchpadforios.tumblr.com
I bought all the IAPs. Now I want (no more than so many other requests here) to share and save fx layouts.
It's possible that I overlooked the option. If not are you planning on implementing it?
EDIT: And yours is pretty good
I think it would be useful. So that you can save your work and share here.
While using the app in play mode is very easy, fun and intuitive, I still find FX handling a tad confusing.
Striking that the articles tumblr articles are named FX secrets, part 1-4. Could indicate that there is some documentation that is not "secret" ?
I would like to see some inn app documention, maybe just links to relevant articles. Please.
Meaning I could put the samples and session file back on the device when i want to use it again.
EDIT: I wrote the above message on 29th November, it was waiting for approval and got sent on 1st December.

I don't know if I missed it above but I would be really excited by auidobus remote integration with effects. Especially while these are hidden while triggering the pads. To be able to trigger (and even better tweak) effects would be an amazing addition. Surprised it hasn't already rolled out. Otherwise, great job!
Where are you? What has happened to fixing the tab 'freezing' in audiobus problem- it seems to have been completely ignored?
Turns out that, for now, just rotate your iPad 180 degrees. It woks fine, but only in one position.
Ahah! Great- thanks for that- there is something slightly comical about doing this- but it works a treat! Cheers.
Hey Novation guys,
Just got the MIDI Sync for Launchpad, really enjoying it! It works great with Fugue Machine and with my brand new Circuit.
Just wondering about one thing - an easy way to find the key of the sample packs in Launchpad! I find it's a lot of trial and error to come up with the key for the samples so the synced apps/Circuit will sound good with them. I read that you're going to be providing the key for all the sample packs - any word on when we can expect that?
+1
We were actually talking about this just yesterday. We really want to show this, to help transfer samples, and also sync up a circuit, and any other apps. In the meantime, We could just create a pdf quickly. We'll get on it ASAP. I wouldn't mind this myself.
