Wait a minute ! When you say "was a tester" do you mean that Auria pro has been submitted to apple already ?

  • @touchconspiracy: About 3 years.Auria made it possible for me to work this way.

Sorry- the "was" had nothing to do with WML schedule, it was my own: I pulled out early

    It's a dude: Pa Insta-King
The "Pa" is the honorific, like "Bro"
To say the testers were Pa Insta-King is some really big ups, like saying they were A #1.

I wondered what the hell to lie about over the extended dinner table this afternoon. All taken care of now. I give you my thanks....

Ex-tended as in formerly tended or ext-ended as in having an additional end?

Did I mention the night is young and you are enormous?

    Oh no. That's me.

  • The release point for a new piece of software is two weeks from any given date.

I am on the beta team, I think it's OK to reveal that at this stage so close to release. All I can say is that all the bugs I submitted were fixed, and that Rim was amazingly responsive to feedback. I recorded a video of the piano roll editor in Gadget to show how well optimised it was for a touch interface and Rim implemented everything I (and others) requested.

Thanks for that information, gadget has the best piano roll that I've experienced so far, I'm really getting exited !

And sorry for the speculations, it is getting very hard to wait for what could be a solution to the "multi app" workflow problem on iOS , I can feel a lot of tension around that release

  • Was there any indication about the upgrade pricing for existing Auria users?

  • edited November 2015

Edit: Removed. My info on the update price is like a year old so it might have changed since then (a lot of new stuff in A2Pro since then as well, so really have no idea on the update price at this point)

  • That sounds good.

Somebody tease me with features if I have to give myself to the dark lord.

  • I'm starting to get nervous that Auria Pro might actually get released. For over six months now I have been telling myself that once Pro is released my creativity will be unleashed and I will start cranking out masterpiece after masterpiece. If it actually gets released I will need a new excuse.

This has been my theme song all day. I have struggled to make much progress this month, but have something in the pot that I was thinking I would get mostly finished this afternoon, but ran into weird Auria (notPro) stuff wherein freezing one track led to muting others etc etc. Caught myself in full 'if only I, the tortured misunderstood artist, had that shiny New Pro thingie all would be well......' Deep breath.

  • Magical Mystery Tour was Paul's idea. It was a good way to work. Paul had a great piece of paper - just a blank piece of white paper with a circle on it. The plan was: 'We start here - and we've got to do something here...' We filled it in as we went along.
We rented a bus and off we went. There was some planning: John would always want a midget or two around, and we had to get an aircraft hangar to put the set in. We'd do the music, of course. They were the finest videos, and it was a lot of fun. To get the actors we looked through the actors' directory, Spotlight: 'Oh, we need someone like this, and someone like that.' We needed a large lady to play my auntie. So we found a large lady.

    When all else fails.......

  • It would be funny if it wasn't so true! It pains me to say this but I am completely delusional in my belief that I am going to extract all these wonderful Ideas from my head and record them on an iPad, I make a fresh promise to myself weekly that I am going to start my recording project the next time I have a day to myself or right after I watch a full season of some TV show I will have forgotten before the credits even roll. the good thing however is that I am all right with my failings and I don't beat myself up about it.,

  • I have a better excuse - I've been on the beta. :D So the two projects that I have to work on have not gone much love. But I'll be ready to roll when it gets released. I think. :cold_sweat:

One cold January morning (with any luck) I'm going to hold you to that...

Well, it'll take a while to ramp up. Then I'll have to plan. Then I'll have to feel inspired. Then I'll have to tune my guitar. June, maybe.

  • "Inspiration exists, but it has to find you working." -Pablo (again).

  • Someone once asked Somerset Maugham if he wrote on a schedule or only when struck by inspiration. “I write only when inspiration strikes,” he replied. “Fortunately it strikes every morning at nine o’clock sharp.”

    Probably apocryphal:

I know it's hard to keep your pennies together this weekend but i strongly suggest saving some (more) money until Auria 2.0 is released ;)

  • edited November 2015

I removed my post on the update price. That info is from way way back, and so much new stuff have gone into the new Auria (Pro) since then, so I really have no idea what the upgrade will be priced at, at this point

Love the word apocryphal right up there with spatula in my book...

  • One More Thing...

The iTunes holiday shutdown period starts december 22nd...so hopefully, it'll be out by then....

    Still ready.

  • Oh wait, I haven't bought my iPad Pro yet, so I'm not quite ready!
