  • Ordered iPad Pro. Got iPad mini 4. Spent all my money with nothing left for Auria Pro. So I'm not in a hurry now.

For a second it sounded like they sent you the wrong one.

    I'm not that fat :-/
  • My excuse is that I have too many apps to be productive. Adding another isn’t going to solve that.
  • @u0421793, I totally agree with you,I am presently doing a App purge and delete the Apps that i don't touch.
  • I've spent too much on apps over the weekend, so Auria Pro has been designated an Xmas present from Mrs Monzo. If it's out by then.

    The pressure is on, then.

Yep, they've got to get it done a few days before Xmas. Not earlier, as you'll all buy it first and I'll get jealous.

Hmmm. I like the approach. Counter-intuitive and all. May borrow.

She was asking me what I wanted for Xmas,  and instead of my usual 'iTunes voucher innit' reply  I thought it might be nice to have an actual thing. Plus I'm all spent out app-wise. I can then spend Xmas day cursing and swearing, and come on here asking why it doesn't work.

Perhaps the very fact that the 'object' was bought by another (as it were) will see the gut-sweating misery of less than initial Full Joy less in evidence?

    Unlikely, given my track record.

I still have faith in 'end of November'...a lot can happen in 17 hours...  ...right?  ...right? :pensive:
  • I have accepted Auria Pro is actually a mythical app, something we all hope for - but we will never ever see. It exists in some other dimension that occasionally intercedes with ours. It appears in your thoughts when you're struggling in Cubasis or GarageBand to get down what's in your head, but just can't manage it. "I could do this Auria Pro, if it existed", you hear yourself say.

You can occasionally find people who say they have seen the app, even beta tested it. But when pressed, a strange vagueness descends them and they fade into darkness mumbling "NDA, NDA, NDA...soon ..."

Its mythical alright, rich with impossible features and wonderful workflows - the iOS DAW to end all iOS DAWs - but no iOS DAW can have all these features and work ... it's just a legend!
  • I think maybe they're testing it a lot on iPad Pro now, probably needs some fixes specifically for that.

I think the app has already been submited - hence the late november target date - but it's up to Apple now, and sometimes the whole process can take 15 days or more.
  • Late November 2016 maybe

    ...
  • The app has probably been submitted a couple of weeks ago by now. The wait is almost over, assuming I'm right.

Very well then.  I am now deleting Cubasis, likely never to install it again.  :relaxed:
  • The problem i see is,if something gets such a hype before it's available then there will be always be people that will be disappointed finally because the expectations raised a level that you (the developer in this case) just can't fulfill. My opinion is,the hype is justified.I was waiting for two years for this update and Auria is now the first full fledged audio/midi DAW/Sequencer for iOS.That's another milestone.I was waiting 4 years (since my first ipad) for this day.BUT the complexity of this app makes it obviously not for everyone a joy to use.And for many people apps like Cubasis or Gadget are still all what they need for their creativity.I for example just can't work with Gadget anymore because of too many missing features (and the pain to record/export your stuff to other apps). But of course.,that's one of the bigger reason why it has such a nice workflow.Too bad that it's collecting dust.Anyway, the wait is over for me.I don't care anymore about other Sequencer (for now ;) )

  • They're probably testing it on the Apple TV 4 now, and the stunning uselessness of the thing has caused a knowledge implosion, resulting in the mid Cambrian period again.
  • I'm guessing this week we will see it, just from reading the fuzzy clues around here.  ...and assuming Apple processes things at a normal pace.

    IMPORTANT!

I must add, shortly after Rim said they were hoping for late November, he did say "late November early December".

So (if) the case is that they are waiting on Apple, who will know dates and times first.
  • And expect and embrace some bugs as a normal part of the process rather than proof of the mighty hype fallen.
  • I think it's already approve but Rim waiting on Dec 1st , note anything could happen in a matter of hours.

Is this speculation or is there evidence?
  • ^ Its Dec 1 in Australia. :o  Anyone out there able to check the AppStore?   :)
