Oh. To be honest I didn't actually hit record. But assumed it would work as a normal IAA. I will try later.
I just recorded elastic drums as an IAA that way and it worked. But then I wasn't sending it midi from another track.
Weird thing, I was able to record Animoogs midi out with out even purchasing the option. When I tried to change the outputs in animoog it tells me to purchase the midi out function but it works already. Shhhhh...don't tell anyone.
The way Matt described, are you able to record any other synth or is there still the mic signal?
Did you check background audio 'on' in both apps?
Have you checked in auria's 'record' settings that record monitor is 'on'?
Can someone please try exporting a Session Band track from Guitar or what ever you have and test if Auria Pro can detect the actual BPM?
I tried and tried but I can never pin point it. The dev is working on a fix but would love to hear from anyone as I don't have Auria Pro yet. Thanks!
Take a moment to look in Auria's own settings (Menu): in the bottom row of the settings page, 'general', there are 'background audio' and 'audiobus live monitoring' settings to activate, while in the settings' 'record' page there are the 'record monitor' and 'auto input monitor' options.
Try these for now.
Well I just tried and my method works. Midi to Animoog in one track. Animoog as an IAA in a second track. Record that second track.
I had to restart once. But it worked as a way of recording 'live'. I even managed to flick over to Animoog and do some knob wobbling.
All works quite well.
CPU is at about 60% though. I have two twin2 tracks running live, one with Turnado on it, and also an audio track. Maybe I need to restart my iPad or something.
@juanconcho, with animoog in ab input, does the track that's created in Auria show AB as input?
In the midi track have you selected animoog(virtual) as 'output'? No need to select anything midi in animoog.
Have you tried any other synth to get recorded that way?
In any case do a hard reset (power + home button), then open a new project in Auria. Just do only one midi track and a synth.
Ok tap and hold the blinking record sign on your animoog track, select input matrix, and on the right corner select audiobus.
In the input matrix next to animoog there are two highlighted squares on 1 and 2?
And another idea, @juanconcho, when you open the pianoroll on your midi track by selecting the keys icon, can you play animoog sounds from the keys on the left side?
Unselect any mute or solo m/s if there are ...
They trigger the drum samples in the instrument panel but gadget notes don't necessarily line up. That is, my kick and snare notes trigger the their analogous hits in the jazz kit, for instance, but a hi-hat type sound from gadget (bilbao pad 5 for instance) just gives me another snare sound.
thanks for the killer app and features. I have a question relating to the IAP's;
am I right in saying that any IAP have to be downloaded after the purchase and are not already pre installed with the app and only awaiting the purchase before being available?

Am having a total gas with this, makes me dig iOS music all over again. F#%K yes.
OK. You pushed me. Over the edge.
Just upgraded from 2.0. Waited for silver-trumpety type welcome party. Mostly silent. I know that the suggested way here is to delete Auria and then re-install BACKING UP YOUR PROJECTS FIRST. Does this mean an Itunes sync/save or a complete copy of ALL of the Projects OFF the iPad and then a complete re-import thereafter? Bit leery or losing everything (of course

Wish I could help with this part, Squire! I completely cocked up the procedure myself. I purchased the new app from the AppStore thinking I was upgrading, then tried to download plugs I owned and ended up repurchasing them...and then I found out testers were to get a voucher. Upshot being F#%k yes, even if I overpaid, paid twice, massive f#%k yes.
Having helped you spend yer money, I promise to share the routes to fulljoy as they appear in-app. First crush: these particular on-board synths
All good Guvnor....I seem to have upgraded and got enough to start thinking about as it is...the synth, and most immediately the Midi schermozzle....I'm a little suspicious, having heard the confusion of others, because all my plug-ins etc appear to ready and raring to go...I can hear hubris and pride tangoing along obliviously....
Also, do you have any audio or MIDI interfaces connected to the iPad during the install process?
Rim
Yes I installed Pro after a fresh hard reset - nothing else was running in background when I did. No interfaces were connected.
Same question here! @richardyot ?
Richard already showed this in the thread about tricks and tips I think
I sent a couple crash reports RIM...
