  • Apologies if this is a mad question (I haven't read all the new features etc.), I take it there isn't a dedicated drum machine in Pro ? That being the case, will the sampler's library include the drum stuffs ?
  • I'm still unclear: is there an advantage to buying Auria Pro new, instead of upgrading Auria 2.0?

I'm concerned if the products diverge, I could fall victim to a bug or issue with Auria 2.0, while Auria Pro users sail buy.
I wouldn't think there's an advantage, unless you want to run multiple instances of Auria on one iDevice. And I doubt any iDevice could handle that processing power.

The advantage of upgrading to Auria Pro if you already have Auria is you save $10 upgrading directly through your copy of Auria.

Do yourself some good ~ enjoy the extra presets, @Matt_Fletcher_2000

yes, i heard there are drum samples in the sampler...
  • Where is the changelog for Auria 2.0??? I can´t find it even in wavemachinelabs forum...

There are, and at least one of the free packs you can download for Lyra is drums.

  • A question, maybe a dumb one, but when did IAP's become transferable?

A question, maybe a dumb one, but when did IAP's become transferable?
1st time I saw it was on 4pockets StompboxBand back in April 2014.

You could transfer IAPs from STompbox to StompboxBand.

  • I think if Apple ever wanted some evidence as to why their app pricing model might need some improvements, it's this thread :).

Does Apple have a pricing model?  It has pricing bands but the devs choose the level they price their apps at.

The fact is we have all got used to paying pocket money prices for apps and are resistant to change.
  • Hi Rim, and other Auria fans. I haven't updated Auria on any of my iPads yet so I can't check on the following question yet.

Is the Clyde Stubblefield template pack available from the Numerical Sound folks, and if it is there then what are they charging for their Auria version?

On that subject is there is a comprehensive list of IAP items and prices somewhere, other than from within the Auria menu?

I didn't realise that was possible, like with Animoog for iPhone and Animoog, being separate IAP's, so could they be transferable.
  • One thing is certain: Auria Pro does live up to the hype as the "app that ends it all". :p

Also, does 2.0 carry additional legacy code or a wrapper that I would want to shed
  • hohoho just woke up. Merry xmas to all.
  • @WaveMachineLabs, is it possible to import/export presets with the desktop versions of the third party plugins.
  • Hmm is there midi learn for faders and knobs, solo/mute, aux 1/2 also ? (Auria 2 here only at the moment...)
Is it planned for a feature release ?
Also, "only" 2 aux on Auria pro 2 ? I would like to insert more IAA effects...
    Also planned ?

    Thanks Rim :)

  • @syrupcore you mentioned programming wavs to soundfonts - in what environment, i.e. how can I translate your proposition (?)

I'm waiting for Target to email me a giftcard to upgrade, quick question--the sampler doesn't do wav files? If not i'm wondering what a good way is to get a wav from AudioShare into the sampler.
I hope this works for you.  Last year I bought an itunes gift card with a Target gift certificate I got for Christmas.  Target was supposed to email the itunes gift card to me.  Never happened.  Went round and round with Target saying Apple needed to activate the gift card, and Apple saying it was targets deal.

Finally, my wife somehow got Target to issue me the itunes card through email.  She can work magic that way.  Good luck!
  • I think, my mixes must not sound as good as they could cuz I don't have Pro C 2 and Pro Q 2.  Right?  lol.  I always feel like I'm missing out and neeeeed the latest and greatest.  I think I'll stick with the originals for a bit.  Though, Pro C 2 looks sweet, and appears easier to use, maybe.

Love love love the look of this Auria 2.0.

There's six, and each one can be routed through a bus to daisy chain 4 effects.

There is no disadvantage, other than the name of the icon will still say "Auria".  The codebase for all the products is the same, so when I push an update, all products get updated at the same time.

Is there a video or description how a third party hard drive can be used to store projects besides the manual? What type of connection could the hard drive have: wifi, bluetooth, or usb cable?

Edit: i didn't realize I had access to the Auria Pro User Guide which indicates a https://www.sandisk.com/ixpandflashdrive can be used with a lightning connector. Is this the only option? It would be great to use a larger capacity external hard drive (1TB to 2TB).
Auria supports any iOS compatible external hard drive, including wifi versions.  As long as the drive has its own app and supports OpenIn, it'll work.

WaveMachineLabs, Does this effectively mean we can off-load whole projects to an external drive and delete them from the iPad to save space; to then import them anytime, at a later date?

Would it be possible in the future to support Apple' iCloud Drive (Document Picker) in the same way? That would be a way to also save mixed-down audio exports on an external drive or iCloud Drive; besides whole projects. It would also facilitate importing files into your sampler.
Yes, that's how it works.  Entire projects are offloaded and can then be deleted to make room, and when you want to work on that project again, you load it back it.

iCloud Drive is a possibility down the road for sure.

  • My first multitrack was a Tascam 244 cassette 4-track. It cost about $1200 brand new.

Auria is incredible and Auria Pro is even more so. WOW!!

  • @WaveMachineLabs, is it possible to import/export presets with the desktop versions of the third party plugins.
Do you mean Twin2 and One?  I don't believe FabFilter will implement this, but you can ask them.

We may implement this in the future, but right now the only remote control of the mixer is done though Mackie protocol.
  • so when you slice up a loop how do you trigger the slices?

    Stereo pairs?
    @richardyot ;
Not exactly sure what you mean. There's six AUX sends that go to the stereo master bus.
  • Rim, sorry if it's a stupid question, but does AP has a global virtual keyboard (like Cubasis')? The keyboard that opens with the sampler panel is passable, but the one that opens with Twin is horrible on my Air: to small for my fingers, completely unusable!

If it does not have yet, could you please add it on a future update?

    All the best!
  • That would be my next question too.
Is there a customizable global virtual keyboard (with scales, ribbons... bla bla).
This is a must for a touch device!
