WML never mentioned anything about a 50% discount for existing users. It's really that easy.
As for paying for the "Pro", of course you gotta pay. A meager $39.99. Or be happy with the FREE update WML just generously gave you.
You and that ONE other guy would absolutely die from a stroke or something if you had a desktop DAW...wow some people..
£20 is wonderful for the amount of time I have used Auria for and £40 later for the upgrade is still good value for money.
I've seen $25/£18.99 mentioned a number of times on various forums and blogs, and no, I'm not going to spend the next hour seeing if the posts are still there. When I bought Auria my understanding was I'd be able to upgrade to the new version for a 50% discount. As @Rockysmalls has pointed out, there's a pretty poor discount for existing UK customers now, particularly considering the amount of time we've had to wait for a bug fix for the existing version.
I love using Auria despite it's quirks, and I've recommended it to a lot of people, but regardless of the strength of feeling against me on here I still stand by my comments and feel I'm not getting the deal I expected. And I don't want comments on how 'cheap' everything is considering I've spend over a thousand quid on apps and hardware over the last few years. I've supported this platform so commenters going on about how cheap apps are shut the flip up.
I won't be spending another £30 on the update, so you've lost a loyal customer. Shame, because the new version looks great.
I have no doubt you will not go out of your way to prove your assertion, none whatsoever.
only one audio track and one midi track on an Air2
Query for anyone who is running Aurio 2 with Air 1 hardware: does Aurio 2.0 run as smoothly as the previous version? (I realize that it didn't run smoothly at all on iOS 9, because Audiobus was broken. By "smoothly" here, though, I mean: is the app still responsive? do you have to freeze tracks more often?)

The UK upgrade price is pretty steep, but (as has been pointed out) it's the Apple weasels that are responsible for that. I have to say, I took the mooted upgrade price / 50 % off thing on the forum with a pinch of salt...
happy to be excluded from this conversation.
The new look is snifty, and I have to wonder how much the vector graphics are reducing the CPU load, or whether it's general improvements under the hood. I'm on an Air 1, and adding the Pro-L used to bump my CPU up by 10-15%. Now it's closer to a 5% hit. And that's with 2x Dithering on, although I don't know why I dither ...
The upgrade path is easy to see. The legacy Pro-C and Pro-Q are still supported, so you won't lose those. You don't lose anything. WML knows what they're doing. Yeah, it's $39.99 if you want to go Pro, but that 40 bucks also gets you a sampler, lots of MIDI goodness, time BPM and signature tracks, transfer of all your existing plugins (including legacy), external hard drive support, oh - and a new synth. Fair 'nuff. I wants it, but will probably wait for Christmas.
QUESTION: I'd also like to get a compatible hard drive, since my Auria app is currently hogging almost 50GB out of an available 114 or so. I've had the SansDisk Lightning/USB drives recommended to me by a good source - any opinions out there on that drive or any others? The more GB the better, so long as it plays nice with Auria PRO. Also, does PRO let you "see" directories on an external drive, like the way you can view and transfer files to and from Dropbox currently? That project/file level visibility and transfer would be AWESOME.
SUMMARY: Free Auria 2.0 upDATE - everything's there, no restore necessary. Runs more efficiently. Looks gorgeous. Auria Pro upGRADE path is clear and present if you want it. Looking forward to reports/vids/reviews from early PRO adopters
Oh HAHAHAHAHAHA. HA!
over & under.
this is post by Anthony Alves mentions the (erroneous) upgrade price

His source seems to be this article which no longer mentions a discounted price. http://ipadmusic.com/blog/2015/02/10/auria-and-auria-le-is-50-off/
Any screen grabs of the piano roll available please?
