LOL  This awesome  comment was almost worth all the disheartening BS in this otherwise very positive thread.

Keep trying to justify a petty message board fight with a very real tragedy of terrorism that cost many many lives, and then imply that I'm stupid for finding that offensive. It makes you look GREAT!
  • Curious as to whether I'm the only one getting repeated crashes. Anyone else.

I ve ve done all the usual delete app. Reload app. Restore purchased upgrade etc.....
If you're having any issues with crashing, please email us: [email protected]  We'll be happy to sort it out quickly.

    Ok thanks. Will mail you.

No public telling off and shaming for the one's who made personal attacks against me? No, thought not.

This forum has about 5000 active users per day. Not sure how many posts and threads are made. It is very hard to know exactly who said what first. I can only go by what I see repeatedly. You got unlucky this time but you have to acknowledge that I did not ban you or delete our or anything. I issued a warning.

I don't delete or ban active users unless there's absolutely no other way. I'm herewith apologising for singling you out when I should have told everyone throwing insults at each other to chill.

So: Don't throw insults at each other.

But if you take anything away from what I said, please make it this:
If you're having a problem with pricing/features of a new app: CONTACT THE DEVELOPER. Use friendly words.
I PROMISE YOU, LAUNCH DAY IS THE MOST STRESSFUL THING FOR AN INDY DEVELOPER. I don't know how many people are in the Auria team, but I'm certain that Rim Buntias does immense amounts of work. If you want nice things, additional features, better pricing: TALK TO THE DEVELOPER.

Make another thread. Discuss it there. Write an email. Ask me if you could get a direct contact. You can all make a *MASSIVE* difference if you're more constructive.
I can promise you that developers *love* good feedback and a better insight into what their (potential) customers want. And they will act upon it. Maybe they'll improve pricing, add features. Maybe you'll get a promo code just for suggesting something useful.

Please believe that this is a community and developers and users are in the same boat. Let's make each others lives better.

  • I'm so excited about EXS import.  I just got Mainstage a few months ago, and its mind boggling to think of bringing in all my stock Mainstage sample-based instruments.

odd I only seem to be able to type in the quote box.......

But I was going to ask if you have tried the auto instrument sampler in the latest Mainstage I keep thinking of upgrading MS just for that.

Really? People complain about 25 to 39 $ for such a bunch of software. That´s a reason we will not see many iPad Pro apps etc.
C´mon.... Auria Pro is not my cup of tea but i think for all iOS music producers this is a very good value
It's not $25 - 39 for us in the UK, the upgrade price is over $45. Add on top nearly $30 I paid for the original that's $75. And that's without the Fabfilters I've bought.

I'm not a professional producer, I've got a family to feed and this is too much money for me to spend on one app, particularly when I'll have to do the same thing all over again when the next one comes out. This will scare off dabblers like me, and the World of iOS music will become the sole realm of professionals and those with plenty of disposable income. I'd really hoped as an existing customer I'd get a better deal than this.

@Coloobar said:Some of us need to go take a look at the DAW pricing for PC's, or Logic Pro.  Then come back here and say again $40-50 is a high price to pay.

You mean Logic Pro that came with half a ton of instruments, samples, Pro quality recording, professional quality effects, and free updates that included the Alchemy synth and library and only for around twice price I'll end up paying for Auria? Yes, I'll come back here and say $75 + the cost of the effects and other bits needed to use it to its full potential, plus future update costs is a high price to pay.

I understand where you coming from and i´m also no professional (even not a semi) but i decided to use some professional tools for my hobby and payed high prices for it. I am far away from rich and had to cancel some holidays and other things for my expensive hobby. Sure, some prices seems high but i am a professional in my daily job and i want to get paid like a pro there too.
I just think if a pro app is not worth a pro price, it´s not the right tool maybe. I hope that doesn´t sound to harsh.
I really know how it is to have nearly nothing.... i was there and you never know what the future brings.
Logic is of course a lot "bigger" but apple gift that for a discount because they can do it.
Other DAW´s are more expensive mostly.
Of course iOS has some downsides like you can´t resell your software.
In general i think that mostly the prices in desktop and iOS world are fair for what each can do yet and for the kind of licences you get.

That's a good point. I'm going to wait till after Xmas, but must say this is one hell of a great release with more potential than it first may seem.

I HAD ONE GLASS OF WINE, OKAY?!! AM I NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE ONE GLAS OF WINE!

  • I'm waiting for Target to email me a giftcard to upgrade, quick question--the sampler doesn't do wav files? If not i'm wondering what a good way is to get a wav from AudioShare into the sampler.

I read you all from the threads for the apps I like! Monzo is a very interesting person. We all need to think of others! Auria Pro is Monzo's dream app, so let's know this fact he is really the Auria's supporter from few months I have always obseved! So it is sad if he doesn't own this app! @Monzo, buy it, be happy for yourself and keep playing for your lovely music on Auria Pro!
  • I will buy this Pro-upgrade today...

And, friends here on the forum, support this awesome man (Rim) with an upgrade too...

Auria Pro 2.0 is da shit!!!!

Can someone mute this Monzo clown once and for all? And everyone else going on about the price for that matter.

And sorry Flo26, not everyone goes to church. ;)

    ------------------------------------

Anyone else bought the separate Pro version even though you owned the regular one (opting for the transfer process)? Having issues here with that. Would be great to see someone elses experience going this route,

edit: Oh a whole new page popped up while writing this OOOOPPPPSS lmao
  • @Monzo let's hope you come back, seems a shame to quit the place over something so trivial. The red mist descended on a few people today, shame it had to get personal.
I haven't banned him. As far as I can tell he's not deleted his account. He's free to come back if he wants to. It's just a really bad idea to turn a launch thread of a new app into some kind of complain-fest. Hurts the developer in question a lot and is really the wrong place to discuss it, especially in such a rude way.
@Sebastian ... He didn't, and I'm surprised at yr curt response.. Did you really not read the remarks by ChrisG and aq808?  The questions about the upgrade price have been couched in a perfectly polite manner but rebuked in an offensive way by people that seem to have some weird grudge. Rim and Htmx have responded in a polite manner and I thank them, no one is attacking Rim and his work. The value is not questioned just percieved loyalty to customer base. Please Sabastian read all the posts in the thread before you single out someone for a 'ticking off'. Monzo's replies to those knee jerk baiters seemed to me simple, to the point and entirely appropriate considering what was said.  If this is how debate is conducted here then there is really no point even writing anything constructive. But you are right it shouldn't be here clogging up Rims launch and the practical concerns with bugs.

  • @ChrisG: Check your inbox, please.
  • I think £39 for the app that's so well featured is very affordable. If it does what it says on the tin without the dreaded memory pop up I think it is a bargain. I personally have a intua fan boy syndrome though ;)

That's the issue at hand. Everything else is secondary. If you need to complain about missing features/pricing/bugs, make a new thread. Keep it civil. It'll accomplish so much more.

If I wanted to stifle free conversation/expression of opinion I wouldn't be commenting, explaining and even apologising when necessary.

Y'know, if he had a link proving his point, i'd have been on his side.

You see, he said "it was widely advertised..."

    It was not.

If you can't prove such an assertion and continue to make it, then you are definitely committing some form of libel/slander.

So, at that point, he stopped being some innocent bystander.

    +1 !!!!!!
  • Is the aux fx expansion just six more of the same, or has it been improved to allow fx chains?
  • A question, maybe a dumb one, but when did IAP's become transferable?
  • So, noone bought the separate app while still having the original as well? I've tried everything I can possibly think of. When initiating the transfer process via Pro's setting menu, it opens the old Auria as it should, goes back to a crashed Pro (static screen), and kicks me to the homescreen. I've tried all the standard things to minimize RAM usage, plus a whole lot more. And nothing works. So kinda stuck here. :/
  • I'm excited to try out Auria Pro's midi instead of using other apps! Now I can create radio promos and rejoins with music that I made in Auria Pro!!

  • Still on Auria version 2, but the in app Turnado is so much more stable now with Version 2.

Version 2 is a great free update and I can't thank Rim enough.

hold on a minute... so I can bring in all my Mainstage (or Logic) EXS sample libraries?? @AIRstudio more details please, this sounds amazing.
    ^^^^^^^^This!

Plus, with the ability to utilize an external hard drive the possibilities are intriguing:)
