    Lol..it's only an app

I'm gonna let u guys beta test it before I bite

Gone are the days where I just jump on an app..even this one

Not bought a music app since may I think

Still pending release. , midnight surely must be approaching somewhere!

Lol, I've been refreshing the website every 10 mins for the last month and you still beat me everytime there was some news

  • I am waiting til Christmas and hope to hear or perhaps see a few examples of use first. I just got Geoshred to tide me over and I can get lost in that with patterning or the rock drum machine 3.0 for the time being.

  • I'm gonna jump on it as on every sequencer midi/tool that I can find

Don't do on Sprectre Modular! Gonna upset yourself.

Midimind has no background mode. There are lots traps ahead of you if proceed to.

    Take it easy man!

  • The developer may be waiting to release on a specific date, although I'm not sure if they can release during the App Store shutdown (Dec 22-Dec 29). Some devs get their app approved, and then set a future release date in order to prepare press releases, advertising, etc.

  • @Kaikoo Midimind is a great app, but it is too bad it doesn't have background support. If you're using an older iPad as a controller though, the MIDI over the network is a great way to easily turn sequences or or one key touches into various types of chords and utilize it's on board rhythm capabilities. I communicated with the developer of the app a couple of years ago who said he'd created the app to play his MIDI instruments but that there simply wasn't enough interest in his app to develop it further.

Gosh, Apple allows developers' apps seated over the store for many years without any updates. This can hook many unsolicited people to just come into. I am one of this innocent victims!

Most hazardous for app store is, many apps just marketed for requirement ..... iOS5,6,7 later!

In fact those which version 'later' also means uncertainty and vagueness. This is how I hooked by Midimind. Too many such apps! Apple just welcome the money, if you refund more than 3 times, Apple always inspecting cumstomers' refunding reasons. Unfair practices!

  • There are much more midi apps traps waiting if you don't mind for one! I am experienced on this category.

I just don't want to name them (apps) out to say ugly!!!

  • @Paul Yes, I did the same back in the day and I seem to remember the dev's thinking was background audio wasn't allowed. Of course things have moved on big time now and such a shame because it's a really useful app.

  • @Kaikoo I'm a great believer in caveat emptor as it helps me to focus on whether I should really be buying something or not. I've found relying on other people to make sure my purchases have value isn't as effective as when I take that responsibility on myself since ultimately I have more insight into what my needs are than other people can.

True words applied to veterans. For wonderous innocents or laymans or new comers, the world is full of ..... This is adventurous life on any aspects!

  • @Trueyorky when I communicated with him, he knew you could do background audio, he just felt there wasn't enough interest in the app to justify adding it. I think that's one of the challenges of iOS is that some of the developers have other things going on in their life and supporting an iOS app can fall pretty low on their priority list especially when there are so many apps and you're not receiving a lot of interest in what you're doing. If the people who are supposed to care for the app don't, why should a developer care and put more of their energy into it?

I like Midimind, just a sad moment from it! I keep it for tiny hope into the future.

  • @Kaikoo I agree, it was very disappointing for me when I learned the app didn't have background support and that he wasn't going to add it. I still find it useful, just limited use relative to its potential.

  • Damn. Saw 17 New Comments and imagined there must be a fish on the line, but no, just more bait :)

I am exciting and hope developers a good holidays. However, The biggest happiness comes from Auria and Fab, PSP plugins purchases. Rim knows how to catch his own destiny when the steam doesn't run out. Such a hard job for programming. I am 100% sure to support Auria as I can.

  • @Paul @Kaikoo I just dipped into my archives and found the original email (April 13) ref background audio for MIDI MIND dev said he was working on it !!

LOL, I have thought about you for this imagination heating up on this thread.

That is why I said to myself why you did not come out onto this thread!

  • Wrong..Kirnu wanted the app out before Xmas

Apple took ages to approve it

What Dev would want to wait till AFTER the 29th to launch? All those iTunes gift cards dying to be used lol..

The only thing Kirnu been waiting for is apple..the approval process never used to be as long

Don't we need to use a bass trap?

Yes, I was thinking the same thing. I would not be a happy developer today over at Kirnu.

  • But it got approved already, so could still be released in time for Christmas, am I wrong?

  • This developer keeps things quiet, strange way for a new product launching?

Yes their PR is severely lacking.

  • @Trueyorky I hope he's able to follow through on implementing MIDI MIND background operation. His website says he's working on iOS 8 and 9 compatability updates which are supposed to be out soon (don't know when though).

As the Sensei says politeness is always in order....

In other (perhaps related) news I did a search at the app store for Kirnu and didn't find it yet (of course), but did see this pop up and got it for myself, for I find -for me- that politeness is often related to a good mood (as well as the memory of my mother leaning invisibly over my old shoulder... :)) Just a notion as regards world peace etc....
