Special Christmas offer to all Cream Mobile owners:
Contact us and you'll get access to latest TestFlight version. This is the same version which is now included in the 1.01 version.

Availed myself of this offer, as @JohnnyGoodyear put it so well, an offer both intelligent and kind...

Bang boom pow it works beautifully (in other words exactly how I wanted it too: point midi notes and clock to Cream from MTS, Cream points its midi magic at Addictive synth, AB flows Creamed, Addictive, audio back into MTS.).

Will test: When Cream and Addictive are set in separate AB paths into MTS, I'll get Cream's own drum loops and synth on a separate audio track into MTS...Edit: yep, dead sexy and shit-hot.

Now: Too giddy with the magic to test the possibilities of all four tracks at once.

The idea for offering the TestFlight version came from Wally. Thanks Wally for being so clever :)

Can the horrible orange/blue iPad skin be swapped for the much more pleasant silver skin of the VST version?

    :) No at the moment.

To everyone who purchase Cream and were disappointed please do yourself a favor and take up the developers' offer of downloading the TestFlight version. Works right out of the box and it's a lot of fun. Merry Christmas to all!!

Well said! And everyone remember to check the binary you are actually releasing :)
    Lesson learned..

How much of what we feel and also achieve is connected to the look 'n' feel rather than the explicit functionality? >How much do I enjoy driving my car because of the way it looks beyond just its capabilities beneath hood?

I prefer a functional design, so long as it isn't distractingly ugly. Case in point; I drive a 15 year old Volvo Wagon.

    Per Arto @Wally
Thanks for the clever idea of releasing 1.01!
Pretty cool gift from you guys!

  • Thanks Arto just got the new version, it's great, loads of presets to start you off. love it.

In this case I can clearly see the frustration that developers can have with the Apple app release queue system.

    Hello Arto:

Thanks for the offer, intelligent and kind :) I like your app, think it offers much and am looking forward to the next version. No terrible hurry as there's some kind of pagan festival taking up all the time right now. When do you hope/expect the 'corrected' version to get propagated? (If it's going to be ages and ages I will follow up on the Testflight offer etc :).

    Thanks.

    Thanks for your kind words.
The new version status is currently 'waiting for review' and because it's Christmas time and all it could take longer than normally to get the new version approved.

    -Arto

Pleased to hear how happy folks are with the new/real version. Will wait patiently for it to percolate (digest?) through the Apple Corps.

  • Hi Arto. I know it's just come out. But will the Cream eventually be updated for Ableton Link too?

+1 & like midisteps would also make a great 4 track AU host too.

  • Thanks to Arto for making the updated version available via Test Flight!

I just noticed that the version of the manual accessible from within the app (gear icon, About, Online Manual) actually links to the VST version of the Cream manual. There is an iOS-specific version of the manual available at the website.

I've notified Arto of the discrepancy.

  • It's Xmas lol...

  • Im on 8.4. If I tick the 'auto connect MIDI' box and close the app, it will only crash to homescreen upon reopening. About to delete/re-download for the second time. Pretty sure that's the cause; it was the only option I changed the second time around.

  • Can someone tell me how to get it via TestFlight? I've downloaded the app and sent my apple id I used to purchase to the support team. They responded that I could now download it, but did there was no link in the response mail? Not too sure how this works, and if that's the only way to redeem it.

  • Make sure you're using email address you're using is associated with your testflight account.

  • Assuming you have Apples TestFlght app on your iPad? Google www.artovaarala.com , then go to contacts & email him from there.

  • This is a much better version by the way.

  • Thanks guys, I just missed the link, which was a separate invite from his response.

  • I'm happy for folks that the workaround was possible . Months of improvements. Enjoy.Create

Big thanks for the workaround idea, so glad you joined in here!

Yes. Thank you Wally. I was going to sit on the fence on this one, but now not. I really hope in the new year that there is a simpler tutorial on how to use this? Lol

  • My experience (while I am loving the app)

    • sending midi from Modstep is shaky, weird notes all over the place I'm blaming Modstep
    • Sending midi from Cubasis a lot better, but midi sync slides out of time and it sounds like a car crash after a little bit
    • No IAA, no ableton link.

So it's nice, but it's not easy to actually use ;)
