I find Animoog to be a very good IAA. (It's the only IAA synth I use regularly). I just wish it remembered the last synth patch and the chosen scale when you re-open it - but it's a fairly small thing.
I also use AudioReverb as an IAA effect a fair bit and it's also very reliable.
To be honest i've never really had much problem using IAA sparingly. I use MultiTrack Daw, AudioShare, AUM as hosts mainly... Again, all very reliable.
This is the first thing I tried with Ruismaker thanks to you. It works splendidly.
I'm also up to 5 instances all running flat-out simultaneously in ModStep on my Air 2 with not even a hiccup. Plus ZMors EQ and AUFX Push in the master! Gonna make another 3 tracks tonight and see what happens.

Confirmed its working for me.
I had to re-assign the pads, once pulling in the AU CC presets. But now it works great!
@Kaikoo2 Did you know Modstep supports AU modulation. The Ruismaker preset found in the CC folder is required.
This is great... Lots of modulating fun + multichannels of joy...

I love it (midi CC) from the first minutes of the first day on it.
I am referring lots of stories with photos here is because I am suspecting that Modstep has bugs with AU extensions format when midi sequencing Ruismaker. It would not be happening with AUM.
Nope. Tonight I sequenced 8 Ruismaker AUx instances simultaneously in ModStep without my Air 2 even breaking a sweat. Each a different kit, and each with an intense sequence, at 130bpm. Not one missed note, crackle, or any such thing.
I still prefer to host all my instruments in AB and AUM rather than ModStep, but that is due to reliability issues with other apps, definitely not Ruismaker.
I didn't test cc automation in those patterns, only note triggers, though.
I just added automation for one cc on each channel with still not a single glitch.

That's great to hear! The synth engine was optimized to run on a first generation Raspberry Pi (comparable to a first gen iPod Touch in terms of CPU power) so it should be peanuts for modern day iDevices to run many instances.
By the way, anyone using an iPad 4? If so, what host?

I would trade Modstep changing it for Cream Mobile, if I only could choose one! How serious this is! My endorsement to Cream Mobile.

Hey @Kaikoo2 i did read your comments about a possible bug, but it wasn't very clear. Please can you try to explain in a simple step by step. That way we can all test and get the developers to take note.

it is the Cream Mobile sequencing Ruismaker midi Channel 1 instrument on Modstep that I could not change an instrument on that Ruis first button when playing Ruis AU real time. (The name and sound disappeared on Ruis channel 1 instrument button)
It is faulty on Modstep which can not be happening on AUM from Cream to Ruis on midi channel 1.
It is obviously for me from many test runs to detect evidence that Modstep AU with midi has this bug confirmed by my tests with photos on this thread.

I'm sure @Kaikoo2 can explain the exact steps/process he's following to reproduce the issue.
From the symptoms it sounds like a MIDI CC#22 ("change instrument on channel 1") somehow gets sent to Ruismaker (with either a value of 0, or a value that doesn't correspond to a valid instrument in Ruismaker).
It could also be its corresponding AU Parameter by the way (each AU Parameter has a MIDI CC twin).

I have Cubasis been testing Cream Mobile to Ruis AU.
See this photo, the name shown on instrument with sound pass through with Cream.

@Kaikoo2 can you help me setup cream in AUM. I want to use that randomising feature. Is your Ruis set to GM or traditional. Please help me get the beast working
@Kaikoo2 I've kind of got it working. How do I set the note lanes to correspond to the notes set for Ruis. This is easy in SPA fixed note, but not in cream.
I set it to tradition. GM notes always change with instruments on those 8 buttons. Its kind if troublesome to write down every value on Ruismaker. You need to check its value one by one.
SEQ on Cream is a 8 tracks randomizer, just press randomizer button it. With Order button, you can have certain pattern notes value remained the same or more randomized by Rnd inside the Order columns.
On SEQ, the lowest row correspond to first instrument, the second lowest on 2nd instrument accordingly.

If you want a more meaningful patterns, you can narrow the range for randomizer.
Have Order, SEQ, top panel Rate knobs, you can design patterns on the fly.
You can also specify how many instruments on the Cream keyboard with 4 midi channels on those 8 Ruis buttons. A very sophisticated Drum arping by Cream to Ruis if you want, so enough midi CC modulation drawing for Ruis too.
This is the advantage of AU drum machine.
