Can't be a dealbreaker; already paid
There is a lot of 'low-end' in this app but I miss the more advanced tweaking for creating sounds.
For those who need bass-sounds without the urge to tweak will surely find this app well worth it!
What features are you missing?
Here is a video showing how AU works:

I'm a PWM junkie so an LFO / Envelope control of pulse-width is something I'm addicted to.
(LFO control over pulse-width gives it nice detuning/chours-effect while Envelope control adds a nice 'bite' to the sound).
Another feature is osc-sync and for this to work there needs to be an additional envelope to control the pitch of the oscillator that is synced to the master oscillator.
I do admit this would put the app into more Bass/Lead category rather than being a pure bass-synth.
For what the app does now it does really good, so congrats are in order
Ohhhh...Yes, I'm a PWM junkie too! Definitely will add the PWM control to LFO and envelope...You are correct...PWM/Phase distortion is awesome!
Probably won't add the OSC Sync, but we are planning on adding Filter Feedback which makes things really rich and warm.
That's another welcome addition to spice things up even more by 'over-driving' the filter...
Good to know there is a plan to improve the app and add new features
Ok bought it...
(Loved your demo BTW ! )
This thing sounds really good...
Just 4 things (at the moment...)
-while you click on "presets" you choose a sound, then you can't directly go to the keyboard, you need to go to preset to close, then go to the keyboard...This does not happen loaded as AU (great...), just as standalone.
-...which is not a big issue if you've implemented preset selecting using Program Change...Did you ?
- I can see "clear cc maping" but how do you map ? And how do you map in AU ??
- the logo "GM Gospel" might point to the Bassalicious page, with manual, and midi implementation...That would avoid 2000 messages like mine...
My 2 cents...
Thanks for such a good v1 !
This Bass sounds like the Gap band and Parliament. That's a compliment from my ear. Thanks for more awesomeness Jamal!!!
Seems to work beautifully from AUM into iMPC Pro. Nice presets too. Instant buy.
Yep...We know about the first one with the keyboard. Working on it for the next version which should be available next week some time.
MIDI controller is touch and hold to do a MIDI learn
Ok I didn't touch long enough...Thanks !
Good to know! Instant Buy for me too:)
@GospelMusicians looks sweet. Also a big fan of neo soul keys. Any chance keys will have AU option in the future?
Hmm, needs a bit of polish about that preset box, even in AU, that can't get away sometimes...
Also, if you press (in AU mode) and you have no control pressed, you're stuck on this page.
And in AU, no popup appears to tell you that you need to presse a control...
AU is really great, seems not to CPU greedy...Let's see how stable it is...
AU is still new from Apple. Even Apple has some tweaks to make as well.
Nice work
Nathan is just one of the many who uses his particular work flow, we might even consider it the first workflow standard on the platform. Nothing wrong with that as a matter of fact it's good for everybody. Devs won't know they need to consider audiobus and link a part of their basic implementation if nobody tells them... adhere to the standard and devs make more money and users are happier.
what I'm wondering mr gospel is when are you going to come out with a straight up neo soul midi controller app?
can you guys that have it please tell me does the app have both midi in and out?
@kobamoto I only see MIDI in not out
Nooo GospelMusicans say it ain't so, I'm going to buy it anyway because I think it's worth it but I really need both midi in and out to use the iPad like wonderful sound module it has the potential to be.
Did I mention that's the best promo video I've seen in a long while? Goofy and good.
@GospelMusicians ,
Could you please have a look at BASSa on Modatep AU?
Because now I have hard time to remove BASSa off the track. It continue to freeze my Modstep screen. i even can not load a new song to delete BASSalicious.
It must be compatible to Modstep on iOS.
Air2 iOS 9.32
3 different photos all showing frozen screen.
@GospelMusicians ,
I finally have it deleted and reinstall the BASSa app. Now , it is ok to remove it from track. However, the second time I try it with Zero Reverb, then just remove BASSa, it letting Modstep crashing.
Could you please have more testing for AU compatibility. Thank you, it is a nice synth for me.
Awesome app.
Isn't there a button developers can push that imports the audiobus code? Then it all works like magic? I think there is. Check........;) AU, though that is all I need ATM. Gonna check this out.
@nerk_, @cblomert ,
I have found that a Modstep track with AU synth and AU fx on, I can not remove the synth first. I have to one by one remove the fx apps, then remove the AU synth. Otherwise, Modstep go crashing. It is not just BASSalicious crashes but also iSem can crash Modstep too.
Is there a way to remove AU synth only, or just one time remove all of them on one track?
I don't want people to think something wrong with the new BASSalicilous.
Enjoying this app. Had a couple of crashes/drop outs when soloing tracks from GB and exporting them to AS. Just restarted and they worked fine.
Oh my president, you do have crashes, hehe.
