  • Well Yes and no. You see these waveforms have been specifically tweaked for bass sounds, bringing out certain order harmonics. So yes you can make lead sounds, but to be great the waveforms have to be tweaked, which we have plans for Leadalicious as an IAP with effects.

Jamal, I know bassalicious is meant to be used as a bass player mostly, but can the standard gospel soft synth lead sound be recreated here? Or is there a preset that contains it? More than bass I play leads and that is the lead sound I love most of all. A bit of glide and portamento to make it sound sweet! Can it be done?

  • @GospelMusicians I like it just the way it is, please don't do anything that messes with the current sound quality. :)

How about leadalicious as just a separate app, I'd buy it.

As it AUx it's best to do this way : maintenance on one synth, new features on the same core...So it's a smart choice :)

  • I also prefer the the idea of leadalicious as a separate app. The creative separation is good for the mind ☺️

  • make bassalicious multitimbral if leadalicious is going to be an iap, but if not then make it a separate app.

  • Separate app it is :)

Great!, then we can put them on separate midi channels and control them with that new neo-soul, chord/scale midi controller app you're making ... hint ... hint

    Testing water. Hehe

  • Downloaded the freemium version on iPad2 (iOS 9.x). Great looking app - love the idea of a straightforward "MicroBrute"-style app for iOS for 10 bucks. Unfortunately, there was noticeable lag on my 5-year-old device, so I'm going to have to hold off until I have a faster device to play it on.

@GospelMusicians Looks like there is a large demand for Leadalicious. Hope we can see the app soon. I also vote for a standalone version.

I agree....Leadalicious is going to be great! We have some other plans for it as well....

Yea man...iPad 2 is a bit too slow. In order for us to do the high quality waveforms, it comes at a price of CPU.

Hehehehe sounds like a plan too...

  • Bubbalicious? Smackalicious? Funkalicious? I sense a franchise....

  • I can see a padalicious

  • After Bassalicious and Leadalicious, I"m done with the "licious" thing ;)

  • 'DRUMalicious' would be something of a "natural conclusion" to the triptych but it's understood if that's not part of the plan. People yearning for branch additions to the '..licious' tree indicates that the BASSalicious model hit on something right in both focus and speciality.

  • Every time I drop Bassalicious in a track it blows my mind. Now I don't have to bug Spectrasonics to come to iOS. Thanks Jamal

Pad-a-Licious would be a nice too.
Lush 'Juno Chours' detuned saws, pwm stuff and juicy lp/bp/hp filters drenched in reverb :D

  • I just hope the AUX-ification of Neo-Soul keys is next in line.

  • I am officially a BASS HEAD!

Gospel Music type BASS HEAD of course! LOL

Used it for couple minutes this am and really am happy.

Only thing is I hope changing presets gets easier.

Thanks for your app, great job.

Agreed! Not your fault...I need a new device to stay in this game!

Thanks for your work and feedback on what looks like a very nice app.

I agree with both these statements.

  • Cant get out of that meny. If ya wanna be a tease AHA...

  • I love the app, sounds great with Cream driving it in AUM, but is anyone else struggling with it in Modstep? It just keeps making it crash whenever I go back into Modstep, can't change the presets or unload it from the track. I have little experience but it just doesn't seem to work

  • I haven't tried Modstep but I believe a Bassalicious update is in the works...hopefully it will address this

  • There's also a modstep update promised soon which may help too.

  • Cheers, will keep an eye out

  • How's leadalicious coming?
