  • Thank you Maurizio! Hyper Vectorial Synthesis ... so much more, can't wait to read everyone's posts!

  • So happy for you guys. Just a bit too dear for me to grab right now. Will grab it in a few weeks since I loved the beta :) looking forward to those videos.

  • Woohoo! A whole bunch more Amazing Noises for my iPad! :sunglasses:

  • Searched inside for a witty pun to say this app is like_________. But I got nothing, other than to say you've lost your damn mind with this one, and it's f**king REMARKABLE.

  • Looking forward to the videos. Bought it but haven't a clue what to do with it ....

It's kind of like if Richard Simmons were a robot, but then somebody hacked his mainframe to be a touch more insane than his standard level of daily insanity. Then that robot somehow became possessed by the devil and also acquired the ability to speak every language known at the exact same time while whistling really loudly and dancing really slow, but backwards.

Sorry, that's all I got. It's basically an effects processor. But a really, really complex one.

  • I'm so curious how this app's spectral functions compare to the Spectrum Effects 2 Max for Live device? Are they similar? I've had my eye on that for quite awhile now... :)

What is it? It's the new app! Buy it!
Actually, I have the beta on my iPad and have almost not clue if I'm using it correctly. For all I know, it's supposed be a full-scale DAW, but I use it to make ringtones.

This whole ramp up has played out exactly like the launch of Pied Piper. All the engineers love it, but the focus group is baffled.

    good job, Flo
Amazing Noises is just... well, amazing B)
(essential tools that set the iPad beyond VST imo)

    cheers, Tom

Too much to list - but here's some of the components:

It's a synth (monophonic 2 band limited oscillators, complex osc, ladder filter, envelope generator, sub bass osc)
It's a varispeed stereo sample player
7 slots for external audio apps
    9 time domain fx
    6 spectral fx
around 200 LFO's that can modulate each parameter
Time Domain & Spectral domain FX signals can be routed between each other via 2 Feedback Chains
Output Post Processing FX (Plateverb & Dynamics Processor) & Output FX Hosting (1)
    IAA Hosting
Preset Loading by remote midi program change messages
    Randomize all parameters
Sync via Link or Midi Clock
Save Entire State as a Preset including Matrix & Keyboard/Sequencer (or exclude them from state save)
There is a Snapshot Pad which allows you to modify hundreds of parameters simultaneously with touch (finger scrubbing)
Audiocopy/dropbox/icloud/itunes Sample loading (even ipod) w/ file conversion to .wav or .caf to load audio books and podcasts
Sharing of Preset Snapshots dropbox/iTunes Sharing/Email
Edit Bank files .moebius just like a .plist file
midi learn of about everything (including a "Widget Range" that allows you to set the Midi Range of each parameter (0-127)
Send messages with Core Midi/Virtual Midi/Network Midi
    Bluetooth LE
NRPN for all knobs and parameters!
You can shift (Node Manipulation) the Time/Spectral Domain Ordering of FX/IAA Inputs Up/Down/Left/Right/Shuffle Up & Down/Turnoff All Up, or All Down

    And AudioBus of Course!

  • ...and, here is a first video!

  • Grazie Mille

  • Wow, thanks for the video but I'm still totally clueless as to how to use this thing! @thesoundtestroom or @pantsofdeath help!!

Among many many (many, many) other things, this is a MONSTER SYNTH. Took a few synth presets and snapshots out for a spin, my idea of what an iOS synth looks like, and can do, just went kablooey. Amazing Noises.

  • I'm no expert in all this, but I can say all you have to do is get in there, play, experiment, get your hands a little dirty, etc. and all of a sudden you'll just "get it". Then, you'll pause a few seconds before realizing all the potential and about that time... your mind will effectively be blown. :)

  • You can do crazy feedbacks with it. Tested this and it's a whole lotta fun. Very creative app.

The best way is to start simple, first load NO sound, and start to move all the volume and feedback sliders OFF then ON and watch where the sound goes and comes from, the lines will turn lighter or brighter green
Then load a loop and use the volume faders to see how and where the sound travels.
That is probably the most important thing to understand the travel of signal, the rest is a combination of FX to spice up your sound...

Experiment, this a great app to discover on your own....not trying to be a "known it all" but when I started beta testing it helped me most to understand it from basics.
    Cheers

  • Guss I need to go and fetch some gift cards, not enough store credits at the moment and no, no more visa for iTunes/Applestore :)

  • I got a lot of great stuff out of Dedalus and really look forward to playing more with Moebius.

That's what I did - UX is brilliant, everything just works - meets you where you are.

  • I try to see the silver lining of having to sit here and watch this thread at work all day knowing that I can't try this out for several more hours...character building? :)

  • I'm with you @CalCutta....bought and downloaded, but I haven't had any time beyond that to play.

  • I'll let you guys play and wait for some footage. I've bought couple of apps that I didn't click with recently so I'm going to be trigger-sad with this one.

  • Sold!

Fun for audio-producing kidlets of all ages!

    Slurp.
