  • I just purchased Mobius Lab, let the weirdness begin!

  • Anybody using this on an ipad 4? Once I start turning on the effects I get a lot of popping and cracking, thinking I should just retire this until I can get a better ipad.

    Crowdfundstartkickersourcingtelethons-are-go...

  • In love with this... also on iPad 4, with some crackles, but oh well. Klevgrand fx are a great match for it, especially Svep in the IAA chain!!

Does one of the built-in fx correspond roughly to Dedalus (my #1 fx app)?

Also thanks to whoever said that Flux and Turnado don't cut it sound-wise... I had kinda thought the same but doubted myself for a minute.

Hi, no, they are all different effects. There are a couple of spectral effects (Grip and Runner) which are inspired by the Spectrum Effects Max for Live devices: https://www.ableton.com/en/packs/spectrum-effects/#?item_type=max_for_live

  • Hi, is there a pdf or manual online here? Just got the app and am trying to avoid brain explosion. I like to have the manual printed on paper and 'just in case' in the room, but really just refer to it when boggled... u dig? I'm sure the app has a manual inside but my printer is funny about my iPad.... thx and more to come

@oceansinspace you can print out the manual from the app help.

Too bad your printer isn't compatible with iOS but it would be convenient if @mauriziogiri provided an option to save it as a PDF.

  • Yeah, thanks man. My printer wants to print on photo tray only too its weird. Im sure a pdf is gonna come through.

  • Oh, and I'm on iPad 4. LOVE app so far with just mucking around. Made a sick track already. This is so so amazing. I need help with live input locking. So when you switch presets it doesn't load a sample. I want it live audio only. I also note that this app gets so weird but stays in control sonic wise somehow. Maybe good luck somehow.... Oh, and I had no cracks or pops or crashes on ios 9. I was using quite a bit of its fx but it was not live input. I hope live input works as good as sampler. Hails to this mad app maker!

Agree with the Sonic control, it really provides a wide-range of sounds, experimentation is very rewarding. That being said, I'm not a qualified synth analyst - but creations like "split synthesis" in the complex oscillator work as described, then there's hyper vector synthesis, and the amalgam of LFO's you can work in the snapshot pad. I'm also a big fan of the .plist stateful aspect as well, it makes sharing and modular production robust (presuming any other great apps would do the same). Same goes for all the connection types supported. I think the UI/UX are great looking and intuitive, the nodal layout in particular works for me. And one more on the pile, it loads IAA's so well, and recovers them - to me that's still usually a challenging aspect to set up, here it's cheerfully forgotten.

Hi, you can download the pdf manual here:
    http://apps.amazingnoises.com/product/moebius-lab/
(click on the "DOCUMENTATION" tab you find in the middle of the page, then on the download link you find below the documentation window)

To "Lock" the live input when you switch presets, deselect the "Input Recall" toggle which is in the input window (the same window you use to switch from live to synth to sampler input).

  • Thanks so much. You are the champion of insanity and sonic crimes. You are not perhaps the maker of this app? Is he on forum. I make him a cake. Ill let ya;ll know how live input goes. cheers

  • Preset I made tonight - download link there too: https://youtu.be/jHuV6SrEoN8

  • Here's a quick video I did of Moebius in action - funky sounds! https://youtu.be/jHuV6SrEoN8
