I think it's a very good update in itself but I think we still have to speak honestly about problems with the app. At this point if there's no state saving I think it's clear the developers have no intention of adding state saving, as saying me thing that basic would be top priority in an upgrade. I sort of understand the thinking behind it, to keep it feeling more like an performance instrument (you can't save on a guitar either) but it's very limiting. I appreciate the new modules but they don't add a whole lot of sonic variety to what's there, it all still kind of sounds the same, good but the same.
No audiobus support but at least there's now a workaround to run it in AUM and then run the AUM port into audiobus, so we have 'virtual' audiobus support which is good enough for me. Currently running the app linked with Patterning and Soundprism which allows me to add better beats and pad sounds that can be linked and then changed on another device with audiobus remote while keeping Skram up on the iPad.
Not perfect but so so much more useful than it was.

Fun, yeah. But like a lot of people I wanted to integrate this into my workflow. That required AudioBus support, and preferably State Saving.
So, after weeks and weeks of bugger all, when the developers must've known they were leaving AudioBus out, I feel like I've had my time wasted.
If they'd simply said they were not going to add it, or AB is a sometime maybe if we can ever be bothered type of thing, I'd have deleted it and moved on. As things stand, I may do that anyway. Waiting again for something that should be standard just irritates.
Cool, I like the new sounds. I was hoping for maybe one or two new sounds and more on the end of audio routing (multiple IAA outputs, IAA instrument support or per instrument recording streams) or automation recording but hey the sounds are free and fun enough.
I expected/wanted to pay for the new widgets too. Still mustn't grumble about freebies.
Does look like there's a bug on the recording feature though
What unexpected behaviour are you experiencing exactly with the recording feature?
I'm experiencing nothing being recorded.....
And it still does that strange glitchy dropped beat thing
What other apps are you running?
Are you using Link or IAA?
What steps should I follow to reproduce this? (start app, tap play, tap record, etc..)
Thanks for the info.
Also, bug?
Azure and neon riot knobs don't adjust when tapping on right side of knob(I have them loaded in the right hand spots in case this has some significance)
Edit: seems to be the devices loaded on right side.
The app also does not retain the new modules in any setup, but defaults back to the original four. Disappointing. It gets worse. Settings from the new modules are not retained either.
Yes, one of the first things I checked. Oh well. Next update hopefully.
Related note - cannot swap similar devices and retain pattern(understandable, but would have been nice.)
One big improvement not mentioned in the upgrade notes is it now supports a much wider tempo range, which was a big issue for me in the previous version.
Not running any other app or link.
Start app
Press record button
Skram start playing
Box says recording
Press record again
Skram stops playing. Nothing has been recorded though
Air2 ios 9. (The latest)
@liine boooo ! Disappointed with this update
The app itself has gone free. Not just the new IAP. I can't really complain about a free app.
That's very odd! Could you please try deleting the app, restarting the iPad, downloading the app again and trying to record?
was playing my song back, hit record button, then hit again and app quit. Reopened and default devices were loaded.
iPad mini2 iOS 9.3.2
(Working ok now 5 times in a row. Will post back if reoccurs)
I can't seem to connect to the Store to download the IAP's. Anyone else having this issue?
Thanks for the great update Liine!!
Just to reiterate for anyone who missed it, audiobus connectivity is possible via apps like AUM and Studiomux.
you must clear at least one of the other devices from the screen, than you can choose the new ones
.. and .. ähm, ja .. thx for the update
Plus + Plus
Great new features in the update plus new instruments too.
Here's my wish list for future features in addition to more instruments:
Maybe a pro version so the app won't be too confusing for people who are not wanting these more complex options? Many developers have expressed reservations about adding too many features to their apps which may put off the more casual music app user by having too complex an app GUI for their typical app use case. They could have a more Figure like version and a full MIDI/AU version.
Thanks for the update, appreciate your efforts.
Yes....... Thank you Dev for the hard work, & it's only the beginning. I think this has so much potential. It is what Figure should of been. Great for Link too?... Keep up the good work.
+1. Not that I don't want to see most of the stuff from @InfoCheck's list but damn, hard to complain when it's free as in beer. Appreciate it @liine_nick and congrats on the release.
Now with Link support, my wish list sort of shifts. Skram now seems very ripe for AB remote—a mute toggle for each instrument. And flipping between the two sequences.
Would also really love to see external transpose but I'm a 'Berlin School' nerd and want everything to have external transpose. 8-)
Did that, still nothing.
I can load it into Audioshare and record there but hard to synch up that way

We often see free apps, that have been superbly crafted. This one comes with a new set of problems, and something vital completely ignored.
Personally, I wasn't looking for free, I wanted to pay a fair rate for a good job.
Hi new to the forum. Thanks for the free app. Made some great sounds but I can confirm I am having the same issues as BiancaNeve described in not being able to record. I am on ipad mini 3 running 9.3.3. I tried the delete app, reboot, reinstall suggestion already.
Nope. Messed about for a frustrating hour trying to get this to work, and decided that it is not for me. No longer a believer. Deleted.
