Dig the app more and more, really dig the followup great to read your post, much appreciated

  • @liinegareth

Loving what you are doing with the app. Would just like to say, if you ever decide to use some of the tech to make a stand alone 'Wild' synth app in the future, you could create something quite special.

I get a bit fed up of the usual synth design, but a synth designed to the same ideals as your widgets would be fun. Even make it semi modular with modular packs instead of widgets - your team obviously have the skills :)

  • Awesome response from Liinegareth! Tbh I'm actually starting to come around with the no save feature, it forces me to interact with the app in a different way and I'm starting to realize there's some value to that. What I do think would be important however is at least some state saving of which modules you have loaded, that would be a major improvement, especially if the number of modules continues to grow, or at the very least a select module view that shows all the modules at once so I don't have to flip through to select them, but a loadedmodule preset would be best.

In terms of modules I'd really like to see something that could create pad like sounds and something that creates bell or maybe a twisted piano type sound. In terms of pricing I think if you priced it around $1.99 - $2.99 per module you'll hit a price point where people who like the app will just buy every module, but if you go up to like $4.99 module you're at a price point where people will feel they have to pick and choose which modules they purchase.

I would love to be able to just play them live from a keyboard.

@liinegareth: A more “keyboardey” Widget certainly wouldn’t be out of the question

Keyboardey widget could be cool (string machine with VCA lfo?) but MIDI input would be cooler. :)

  • @liinegareth okie-dokie-artichokie

    Good luck.

I particularly like being able to load up 4 instances of the same module.

    Cheers

Yep a keyboardy widget could have a different form of input as well, so it could play chords in order

  • As i previously said, 5* for release and for this update, went to itunes
    Thank you for great work

  • Thanks for the props everyone - it really is appreciated.

@liinegareth - nice to see an update at last :) Something that's been mentioned previously, and still seems to be present (at least on my Air 2), is the occasional 'skipped beat' big. Regardless of whether it's being used standalone, or via IAA, I get the occasional 'glitch', like an extra, silent beat.

Be interesting to hear if this is only affecting some of us (I'm on the latest version of iOS), or a general hiccup that requires a tweak with your spanners...

We actually killed a bug which could cause these in this latest update. However, you're right, it seems that some people are still experiencing an occasional hiccup (with a different cause). Good news is that the build I'm testing at the moment "appears" to have fixed this. So we should have a fix for this out quite soon.

Thanks! Oh, we'd totally love to go nuts and make something like this. Let's see what the future holds.

This is mega valuable feedback for us. Anyone else got any thoughts on what would and wouldn't be a reasonable price to charge for additional packs of four Devices?

If I could record simultaneously to seperate files (either internaly or by IAA out to Cubasis) I would easily pay around 12$ for a four pack without even listening to it. Heatstroke, Orphic, Jade and Azure are my favs.

Agree with @Judochopjames about the $1.99-2.99
And I feel bad posting negativity. I see that work has been put in to move it forward, it just didn't come with things I was expecting since the last update. That's not to say that it's a terrible app and liine is made up of terrible people. I was just disappointed. And I'm just one person. Don't regret paying for the app initially and will still look forward to the next update.

Great job on discussing here @liinegareth and @liine_nick

  • @liinegareth would love to see some sort or automation. Double tap a knob to record automation.

I'm probably on the same sort of wavelength here, BUT I have noticed that while I don't do much with them I buy each of the Blocs packs that come out at 1.99 because, well, they're 1.99. I know it's a huge difference putting out your modules than slapping together some loops however.....I think around a fiver each is still reasonable enough if they come out every so often....but it's the old parabola curve, if you charge 9.99 a piece would you sell more than half as many etc etc. For me (me, me) while there are many little and not so little things I would like to see, but at this point SAVE is so enormous as to block out all other light...

  • personally since the modules are quite limited i wouldn't pay more than 1.99 for each of them.

yeah I have enjoyed playing with this but the modules are REALLY limited.

Since we're talking about the next build now.. the next item on the list for me would definitely be some way to automate the harmonic modulation either internally or externally by MIDI ;)

  • Thanks for all that feedback on pricing. Much appreciated. We definitely do want to keep things nice and affordable so that people can easily get all of them if they like them.

Yup, this would certainly be great for really bringing the devices to life.

Yeah, some kind of automation on the harmonic stuff would be really powerful! :)
