My dear Nan always muttered: The path of least resistance causes the most friction.. but then she also mentioned A woman's breasts are but primary proof of the scarcity principle....

  • Caustic 3, and NanoStudio 2.

    Thinking being?

Even though I've only had it a few weeks, it feels a bit long in the tooth. There's a few bugs - the arp stops when using it via Aum, I get stuck notes with MIDI, and the sequencer looks like it was designed by Lawrence Llewellyn Bowen.

Nothing major, it sounds lovely, but enough to stop it being a 'go to' synth for me.

There are others needing updates - Skram for one - but it'd be great to see Korg spreading some love on some of their older apps.

it turns out that what I don't know is who people called Lawrence Llewellyn Bowen are in the first place. Although the merest inspection suggests Barry Gibb.

  • Desktop class pitch correction is still MIA on iOS. I hope some DSP guru out there is seeing the opportunity.

    1. Samplr
    2. Nanostudio2
    3. Beatmaker3
    4. Anything gadget related

This. Even Auria Pro went the Autotune route, instead of a proper Flex Pitch.

  • A pianoteq style piano in AU format. A melodyne plugin for vocals.

Beatmaker3 mostly, then Samplr & Gadget as a full blown DAW.

A mix of these 2 comments for me please ;-b

  • I'd like some new ideas, not app updates. I've got a load of apps I haven't really looked at, as it is.

  • I seem to recall some time in 2015 that Synthmaster said they were going to release an editable version for IOS in early 2016. Still waiting...

And Korg said from the beginning that Gadget was going to have audio tracks...

Yes would have been great, but to be fair to them, I believe they said they would consider releasing a full Synthmaster.

    This would be fabulous

  • Nanostudio
    Samplr
ProMidi & MidiPatternSequencer (these are/were so close to being great sequencers)
    Aufx as Audio Units

    still hopeful ;
iSpark ( modular synth & midi ext control )
ModStep (firstly just work please, then mutiple timesigs /tuplets )
    Aufx apps > AU extensions
Cream ( Link ... don't ask I know nothing more)

    given up ;
Fluxfx ( midi update & new fx )
Waldorf Attack ( midi cc control update )

A worthy addition to your canon.

Surely breasts are not scarce, by my calculation there is roughly one person on average.

  • Cubasis 2 or beat maker 3
Something with AU, IAA, link and a better piano roll with scales mode like gadget and a chop shop so I can resample my own recordings

I hear you, believe me. I'm just overly-sensitive about having a grandma who somewhat undermined common breast value for her eight year old grandson. Usual stuff :)

  • None that I can't wait for as I'm pretty app satisfied but my excited-to-see list looks something like this:

    Nanostudio 2
    Loopy Masterpiece
Tony Saunders' ( @midiSequencer dev) new MIDI sequencing app
Anything new by @artkerns and/or Link in midiSteps, midiLFOs and Funkbox
    Anything new by @HoldernessMedia
    AB3
    BM3
    Rolf's port of Arturia's Jupiter 8. :)

  • @syrupcore A fine list. One a month would see us through 'til next Easter...
