This controller emulates the Launchpad S, so you should be able to find information applicable to both.

For example, Image Line (FL Studio) has this sweet reference list.

  • A little OT, and a little sad to say, but I just deleted Launchpad. Fact is, for me, the iPad more a tool for songwriting/production than for performance. I hope Novation updates Launchkey soon, I might delete this one as well.

Don't let it all go to waste. Grab those loops out of Launchpad if possible so you can use them elsewhere.

I do hope you cleaned up afterwards with a bleach based product.

I'm seconding what @blocsxnovation said. (Although they might be biased ;))

Yes, I'm sure Behringer button board is almost definitely great but looking at it from a selfish angle, supporting Novation (who by the way are an IOS home brand) is a no brainer.

    1. You can actually talk to them and they respond.
    2. Supporting a company that's heavily involved in IOS is bound to have a positive effect on further IOS development.
    3. Better software support?

I thought I could come up with more reasons but it is 9.30 here in the U.K. and my brain ain't properly fresh yet. I'm sure there's more reasons to support Novation. Good software support generally means less fuffing, more playing.

  • I personally would support Novation over the Behringer for all that @supadom said and the fact I've had lots of Behringer gear break down just after the warranty expired. Yeah I know that's often the luck of the draw with electronic gear, but personal experiences often leave an impression

  • I think of the value that Blocs Wave has brought to my music making life for the ridiculously small asking price and vote with my wallet.

Now, I don't have a problem with the OP or anyone else who doesn't subscribe to the same point of view. Some folks go to church, some folks don't, etc.

Totally. There's also the question of how much money one has to spend.

My personal experience with Behringer stuff is guitar effects and they didn't feel like great quality but they didn't cop out on me either (probably because I never abused them because of how frail they looked). On the other hand the 6 Novation products I've own were pretty solid: x station 25 and 49, k station, launch key mini, lounchcontrol and xiosynth.

We would very strongly urge support for the Novation Launchpad over this product and brand. Even if solely on moral grounds. Secondarily, the new colour modes are a great leap forward, and will support innovative companies to push things forward.

Hi I'm back :# Quick question.
Okay.. so I got blocs wave and I am amazed at how good the loop packs are in this app! Now in a hypothetical situation, What if someone were to use them in an album.. copyright it and then sell it and make hella $$$? Would they owe you royalties or would credit have to be given prior to copyrights?

  • @yug said:
    Depends on the soundpack

    http://blocs.cc/soundpacks

    Aye thanks!!

  • I still don't know how they got away with releasing that shameless copy...

I got another one for $25. It works great.

While in blocs wave, There isn't any information that tells me if it's a loop masters pack or a ninja tune pack.

+1 I recently bought a Launchpad Pro and I am absolutely delighted not only with the fantastic piece of hardware I bought but also with the fantastic support I got from Novation. I managed to make a set-up where LP pro is controlling half of its buttons Launchpad app in one Ipad and the other half controlling Genome in a second Ipad. The feeling of the buttons is extraordinary and overall I would no doubt this was a great purchase. On top it was a good way to thank Novation for the great app that introduced me into loops launching.

    Thanks Novation!

With Behringer you just get lucky more often.
