Hey John, Apologies for not answering your earlier question about which loops are which. To be clear, when you purchase the loops in Launchpad for iOS, there is a conditions link next to each pack, and to make things easier, everything under the Artist series tab is Ninja Tune Artists copyright, so you can't really release any of those (Same terms as the Packs in Ninja Tunes fabulous own Ninja Jamm app). This link here has more info:
http://blocs.cc/soundpacks
The main constraint on the licencing is that you can re-sell or re-lease any loops you purchase on Launchpad (i.e you cant sell the loops on tehir own). That, is kinda bad.
Let us know if we can help any more.
So what is the point of even including the Ninja Tunes stuff ?
Are you doing it just to use the name Ninja Tunes ?
If you released a synth and said "You can't release any songs with our presets" you would be laughed out of town.
But hey it's OK right, iPad is just a toy, so give them soundsets they cant use, because they are just iPad kiddies ?
What a crappy way to behave with such a great, nay professional piece of live software !!!
You don't HAVE to buy them.
Since this thread is still floating this little babe caught my eye. Seems like a lot of control in a small form factor. It's targeted at djs but I wonder if it could be used as a regular controller. Anyone has one?
Hahahahaha, really ? I never would have guessed hahahahaha
You seem to have completely and totally missed the point
"Hey buy our presets for synth X, but remember, you can't actually use them in your own songs, just listen to them"
But hey, carry on being an enabler hahaha
Not as funny as you might think, you cant use the korg electribe gorillas versions in commercial tracks for example.
Yeah i dare Korg to try and sue somebody over that usage, this again is like the whole Ninja Tunes nonsense "You can't use this in your song, even though one of the main samples is Led Zeppelin, oh wait you aren't supposed to know that"
When Korg can turn around in court and prove that a particular soundbyte from some synthesizer was used, and then give its full provenance without themselves being caught out by said provenance, i will bend over backwards and clean my own jack with my tongue.
NI completely ignoring copyright of content at one end then at the other end putting a EULA and charging $50 for expansions full of uncleared material
Roland more than once have had to remove a product from circulation because of uncleared content.
The list goes on and on, and to be fair, this is not the first time that Korg have released product with content that needed clearing, they even did it with a guitar pedal not so long back hahaha.
Reality here is this, if they can prove anything it is very doubtful, if you feel bad using it, then don't use it, if you don't feel bad (Why would you, you paid good hard earned money) then use it as you like and screw their "You can't use this" nonsense.
Shazam! Like magic!
Some people play with and make music purely for their own enjoyment and do not try and make money out of it.
And some don't, whats your point ?
try to update to the latest version. I just fixed a midi learn crash a few days ago.
bluetooth is automatically supported via the OS (indirectly). That's the only way I know to debug midi btw. I use the "Midimittr" app s-r-n.de/midile/, and it works really well.
I'm sorry but I seem to have an urge to do something more interesting and enjoyable, I'm off to stick blunt pins into my eyes.
