THIS IS THE TO DO LIST
These things are already on our to-do list and will be implemented ASAP:

    Fine/complex Snap Divisions
    Time signature settings
Fix audio recording sync with playlist
    Freeze Playlist tracks
    MIDI import/export
MP3 import / export - Android already has MP3 Export
Note names on all white Keys
Presets save when using custom samples in Directwave
Split Playlist track export to WAV
    Windows Continuum Support
Drag-and-drop Audio/MIDI between FL Studio Plugin and FL Studio
    Background Audio mode (iOS)

    FL Studio Mobile 2 Note

There are a few missing features from FL Mobile 2 that we will add ASAP (MIDI import-export, MP3 import-export, Keyboard labels).

Conspicuous lack of making IAA instruments and effects and Audiobus work on iOS

how could you get this list? when i follow the links i get a not authorized warning although i'm logged into their support forum???

  • Well if you have bought & paid for FL Studio Desktop(you must have an account then?)..... If you have an account & can access the Forum, your best to contact them. I found it(under Forum, FL Mobile section).

I think maybe you have to own and have registered FL Mobile to get into just that one forum.

Here are direct links which should work if you're logged in (and if you're not logged in you should get just the first line or two):

The FL Mobile forum has a subforum called "FL Studio Feature Requests":
    http://forum.image-line.com/viewforum.php?f=1988

And a message titled "THIS IS THE TO DO LIST PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING" is stickied at the top in there:

Nah!...... they can take it on the chin. Infact, Scott & the team is normally quite good at responding on problems. There biggest headache was Android. Considering Image Line has done this for all systems across the board for "Nothing" ....... I would give them time. It should all come out in the wash. ;)

Like I said, I'm pretty sure you have to have registered a purchased copy of FL Mobile to fully access that particular forum. It's not like the others. At least that's what I remember from way back before I registered my copy.

  • But is there a scale lockable keyboard in app? Does anyone know the answer to this?

If there is it's very well hidden.

  • @BiancaNeve sounds like a no. Sad.

That is the same impression I got and the full version is now a whopping $899! image-line.com/flstudio-feature-comparison/

What is your point tho? Producer Edition at $199 is among the cheapest of all DAWs and it's all you really need. The All Plugins Bundle, is all their plugins, and why shouldn't it cost $900? Look at what Ableton Live Suite costs https://www.ableton.com/en/live/feature-comparison/ $1000

    Logic costs 200
    Reaper costs 60
And both better then fl Studio

@Bartlinux1 You beat me too it! Logic Pro X includes ALL of their plugins, samples, loops, instruments, etc. including Alchemy for $199! apple.com/logic-pro/

That being said, I'm just not too impressed with FLM3. It seems like more of a marketing tool app. than a full featured DAW/Synth app. compared to Auria Pro and Cubasis. I own all 3 so I'm being fairly objective and don't expect a full fledged desktop DAW on my Ipad.

$200 is definitely a nice price for Logic, considering I paid $250 for the older Alchemy vst...problem is existing users had to pay the full $200 for the update, after they'd paid $200 for the previous version.

  • A bit off topic but if you are a gadget oholic like me you may be interested to know that if you have a Windows tablet with a 32bit version of Windows it appears not to work.

  • I'm trying not to start another war, but do you guys think that they won't put Link in because Ableton is a competitor?

More likely because Link is really hard to implement in an environment that uses audiotracks. Not impossible, but very difficult. That's why most DAWs don't do Link.

    I never thought about that.

Some of them are hiding in plain sight. The white keys starting on A are a natural minor scale, and starting on D it's the ever-popular Dorian mode. If you play the white keys starting on G and going up you get the ascending line from Bowie's "The Man Who Sold the World," which I'll leave as an exercise for the reader.

Yeah , playback isn't that hard, it is when recording that you get the major problems, how can you record an audio stream when the tempo has the potential to continually change...

That, but even playback is tricky to do in a glitch-free way. Link basically tells the app in real time where to move the 'virtual playhead' and the app must assume that it can be sent forward or backward in the timeline and that playback can be sped up or slowed down at any random moment. With MIDI and short samples this is trivial, but with streaming audio you need realtime timestretching and tricks to avoid pops and clicks.

They already have realtime timestretching in the desktop version of FL studio, not sure how close FLM is to that audio engine though.
