  • Looks like they are going to offer it via the Mac App Store

    Wow, what a great news!

Hmm, this may mean audio recording is coming to the iOS version too:

    * Two new gadgets provide long-awaited audio recording.

when will these new gadgets be released?

Same procedure as with the Mac version of the Bluetooth utility to connect nanoKey Studio on macOS.
(The link on Korg Site just points to the AppStore).

  • Recife looks a Ni Maschine :)

OK. No one post to this thread unless you know the answer to the question WHEN.

The 3 new Gadgets are included in v3.0 for iOS, and it looks like they will be free as well.

    Really? That'd be nice.

it DOES look that way. All 3 FREE!

underneath the 3 new Gadgets, there is no ** ** In KORG Gadget for iOS, this gadget is available for purchase within the app. ** like all the other paid IAP gadgets. This is awesome.

    http://www.korg.com/us/products/software/korg_gadget/gadget_collection.php

more likely though, the missing line "avilable for purchase" is simply a reflection of the fact that they are not yet available for purchase ;-)

By that logic, they shouldn't be shown in the list at all, since they are not available yet period.

  • So version 3 is what is being advertised on the official Gadget page. I'm thinking this is due in today or tomorrow.

I think the logic here is to not mention purchasing details for software not yet available

So it seems the full versions of Odyssei and iWavestation are still iOS exclusive.
Could live without the arp in the Lexington Gadget since a DAW can take place but i want to edit the wavesequences from Milpitas like in the iOS full version.
So maybe they will update the Korg Legacy Collection too in near future?
However, Gadget could soon get the crown of iOS DAW´s. They evolving nicely and killing slowly competition....at least for me.

Yes, I am sitting here just moments ago having those very same thoughts. With space is a premium concern for me on a 32 gig iPad I can see Gadget filling the nitch as my only D.A.W.. we shall see how this plays out but sounds very encouraging for our futures.

  • Wonder if the 'tape recorder' Gadget will allow time/pitch adjustment of the 'tape' and allow 'tape scratching' similar to what is possible with Fingerbeat? :)

Sooner or later we'll get a proper 'Sample Synth' with filters and stuff, I have no doubts about that.

I also hope more effects will be selectable as IFX, this has happened before.

Hope someone from the NAMM floor can give us more info...

This gave me the biggest laugh of the week

It seems they're branching away from purely electronic stuff lately. That sure looks like they're adding guitars (karplus strong modelling with guitar effects built in?) and more rock oriented instruments.

Yes, please. I'd be keen to hear, and likely purchase some of those for IOS version.

I'm hoping that Rosario Gadget is in fact an audio-input guitar effects app. Would love to be able to record some guitar riffs over some of my Gadget tracks.

For those of us not blessed with your talent, a Gadget virtual guitar thingy would be very welcome.

So, the new gadgets will be free of charge

  • Do we know that v3.0 is a free upgrade?

  • If it is March I will lead one to Tokyo and it won't be pretty.

I think since they promised the audio tracks from 1.0 it couldn't not be free. Looking forward to 3.0!

  • I really don't know why the official product page would tout version 3 stuff right now if it wasn't dropping on iOS soon.

Who knows, maybe the iOS version it's already submitted for review...

The gadget description says it is an amp sim

  • @Samu that's what I'm hoping!

  • What a coincidence...Rosario is the city where Leo Messi was born (lol).

My bet is february as well.
