I'm still wondering how the audio tracks will fit with the scene arranger.....what happens if you already have an audio track and insert a new scene in the middle of it somewhere ? Is the recording limited to the length of a scene ? Will it support IAA/AB input or physical input only ?
Can't wait to find out
They have also been inserted in the list above Bilbao which was the first IAP.
So it keeps saying "regardless of the device". By device do they mean iPhone, iPad, and Mac, meaning you automatically get the gadget for all your devices after a single purchase?
The news we've heard already today is already enough to run around outside naked like a fool screaming and yelling but if they're going to do that as well I may have to find a way to top even that type of celebration. :-)
No, they mean iPhone and iPad. I copied that text from the iOS version specification.
Gadget for Mac will not have any IAPs, you'll get every gadget by default. Its price is TBA though
Has anyone added up what the full cost of iOS gadget is with all IAP's?
I remember the first day Gadget was born. I wanted to show it to all my friends. Now, our baby is almost 3.0 lol. Soon it will be off the college and then what will we do?!?
I am so pumped for this update!
I am seriously agitated that I don't know when I can spend more money on Korg products. I'm snapping at people at work, and they're all like, Oh, he's under a lot of stress....
WHEN??
[In voice of William Shatner] KOOOOOORG!
When and how much are pretty much the only questions that need to be answered now.
It's all good!
Now the long wait begins! Well if it is even ten minutes from now the wait will seem long to be fair.

Oh well, one for the more accomplished old school musicians among us. Gentlemen, start your engines.
This part has my hopes up that iM1 is going universal!
If so I will lift my embargo on further KORG purchases (showed A LOT of restraint during the holiday sale by only getting Kamata, leaving ARP ODYSSEi, iWAVESTATION, Module IAPs, Madrid, and Gladstone for later). Would also be nice if iDS-10 got Link like they promised (hope it doesn't take as long as Gadget did to get audio recording). Those two things and all will be right with me and the house of KORG.
I am hoping that the audio Gadgets will have an Audiobus input, or other way to use apps with it, I haven't seen any mention of this yet?
I see Beatmaker 3 fading on the horizon...
I'm hoping for IAA-Recording/Sampling and import using other methods than AudioCopy.
(ie. send files to Gadget using 'Open In...' or browse locations using iCloudDrive/iOS-DocumentPicker).
I'm hoping someone 'iOS Focused' is at NAMM and can ask relevant questions and get proper answers from the Korg reps.
what are the odds that we have expandable on screen keyboards like Madrid for every Gadget? Do you think Korg will do anything in regards to better interface stuff?
I hope there will be many surprises in the next release.
(Otherwise I feel like I've wasted too much time over at the Korg Forums).
@Samu amen to that. I will be very disappointed if there's not a hint of tidying up or some light streamlining/enhancement here or there. As good as it is, it is one of those apps where almost immediately you go "well this thing here could be done a little better, I wonder why it's the way it is"
"You can upload your songs to "Allihoopa" and rearrange songs that have been uploaded by users from anywhere in the world; your own songs can also be remixed by other people, letting you enjoy musical communication that transcends barriers of language."
I like this (didn't Gadget support that back in version 1.0, or only in iPolysix?)
Rosario is also the name of my favourite spanish singer / artist (it's a she)
Yeah I like this too!
@halftone
I can see a lot of stuff in this forum to be remixed
Synthanatomy is there, hopefully he'll make a vid or share details.
Might have to read the small print though.
I remember not being keen on what I read when figure started this.
Rosario Flores, perhaps?
si
Cmon Korg drop the update! My body is ready!
They're usually pretty quick - would be a waste of PR gold to lose the momentum...
I've avoided Gadget due to the lack of audio tracks, so now I'm interested in perhaps jumping in. However, I am very curious about how audio will work in the scene UX. I had always assumed that audio would have to fit to the scene length (I'd be OK with it, actually, since it would fit the UX I've seen in the videos and free version)... So yes, interested to find out how it will work.
Well that plays into my main gripe with recording free form midi in (like a rhodes part etc). It's commom to be a tad ahead of the beat and currently gadget ignores even a millisecond before. Just ignores whatever is pressed down on my controller instead of just adding a start point of whatever note is currently playing at 1.1. Only way around this is waiting for the whole segment (8 or 16 or whatever) and then playing as normal. Then it sounds as it should, no truncating or omitting. Hopefully audio recording will be fully on at 1.1, grabbing everything and just applying a fade in to avoid clipping.
