  • I think I might want to get the "OS" version, as they seem to call it for some reason. Having the gadgets as plugins in ableton live should be fun on my 23" HackinTouch  . But if it's too expensive I'll have to pass.

Here is a little beat with a lot of sampling (almost a remix) I made to celebrate the annoucment of Korg Gadget 3.0...

3 instances of Abu Dhabi (for once I made it simple, and did not slice my loops to feed Bilbao) + 1 Madrid + 1 Gladstone + 1 London...

Peace and thanks Korg for the marvellous Gadgets ;-)

    This is really cool!

Thanks Thomas... Your feedbacks are always much appreciated and motivating.
    Peace.

  • I've still got an instinct this could be 1st/3rd Feb.

Thanks Andy, from you this means a lot... I did not have the opportunity before, but I got to tell you that your Joy For Sound track was very very very good (made me hum "Toodoodee Toodoodee Toodoodee Tootoo") and that's what motivated me to also make a tribute to the Korg Gadget 3 annoucement using samples ;-)

NIiiiiiICE (that's the "Toodoodee Toodoodee Toodoodee Tootoo" lol)... Makes me want to make more music man... If only I wasn't currently between 2 jobs, 2 kids, and moving from one appartment to another (my current dream = an empty bear's den + a good headset + some samples + a permanently charged IPad with Korg Gadget and iAPs... No need for anything else... Maybe a bit of water and the bear's food leftovers lol).

I want to be either making or listening to music all the time, I've always got something in my head, that bears den sounds like a little bit of heaven :)

  • Yeah and the accoustic of a bear's den might also be interesting for live recording lol

Here's hoping. Me, I don't know squat about marketing, but it just seems weird that Korg would make this big splash at NAMM, announce "COMING SOON!", and then nothing but radio silence until March...

Not ideal. And not how you'd draw it up either.

Yeah, that's what I figured. Wonder what's up.

  • Korg does what korg does. Sometimes it's a sneak attack sometimes lots of warning. They don't even say if they are fixing things people request until they do or don't

We live in a bubble. I would estimate that 99 percent of people who buy apps have no earthly idea what NAMM is. Also, it seems clear that the NAMM show creates an artificial deadline. Great for publicity, but beyond that: Is January really a good time to introduce a new product? Maybe this explains why there's no working demo for the new Gadget. Or why the Elektron Digitakt cannot be touched by human hands and is is on exhibit UNDER GLASS.

As annoyed as I am that I can't start all my excellent new songs on the new Gadgets, is there any doubt that I'll buy them the day they release it whatever that day is?

    :)

they probably weren't done but namm wasn't going to move dates, so they show what they can even if they aren't ready yet

This is actually a 'new' one Rich. Same guy as in some others, yes.
Luckily he doesn't use the term 'beefy' this time :)

  • I don't get why he thinks Mac OS is just called OS. Someone should tell him it means operating system and needs either an i, a mac or whatever OS one is talking about. OS could be windows, Linux or anything else...

Makes me wonder why even bother with Gadget Cloud when they will apparently be moving over to Allihoopa with Gadget 3...

GadgetCloud is more for publishing I think, whereas Allihoopa is more about collaboration ?
