  • Worth every penny---------how many will that be?

@mathieugarcia Just tell me it works for all phones not just the newest, it's sub 800mb, and that the file system makes sense.

  • yeah, knowing my luck, this or audio tracks in Gadget won't work on my Air1

    Still in discussion !

Probably (not set in stone, though) iOS 9.1 minimum, and no large sound bank by default. Filesystem was also rethought from the ground up.

So It's a 'safe bet' that iCloudDrive/iOS-DocumentPicker is supported and can be used for everything related to import & export?

What about 'iOS-Sharesheet' with options for Airdrop and 'Open In...' to shuffle files from one place to another?

And I presume BM3 also accepts files sent to it using 'Open In...' from other apps?

I'm really too eager to get my fingers on this one... :D

Great news! The sooner the better though. Lots of competition!

  • @mathieugarcia thank you. That's 200% good news.

  • Man just spent my last bucks on GeoShred. Well I'm actually having tons of fun :)

That's one aspect we also pushed forward. BM2 was lacking in that area !

Since Korg did it now (or soooooon) i hope there will be a similar macOS/iOS convergence with BM3.
It opens a much brider market for musicians with different workflows in different situations.
Patch and sample libraries will be better supported too.
It might be even the future of DAW's to go cross platform!
At least these days it plays a big part in what i invest in over a longer term.

  • Is a "brider market for musicians" for when you feel wedded to your music?!

Lol!! Well, ignore my bad english!
But i'm sure you know what i mean :#

  • @mathieugarcia is it next week already ? :D

  • No announcement yet (I was kinda hoping for one when this thread got updated).

  • I'm mostly curious about the the new module mentioned in the sequencing features paragraph in INTUA's homepage August 31 post. Not a deal breaker but I hope it means clip launching.

    Hi there !

Well, I guess you have a better idea of what will BM3 be all about !
We are making an official announcement next week.

    Cheers !
    Mathieu.

That's what I thought when I opened this thread again :D

  • Forgot about that. Probably some sort of clip launching thing? This seems to be the norm these days. And I quite like the "modular" aspect of it. Build a matrix of loops and trigger them into an arrangement. I always hated arranging stuff with copy paste: intro, verse, chorus... etc.

That's why Ableton became so popular

  • Hey guys,

You're guessing pretty correctly, and will integrate nicely with more classical sequencing too.

    Cheers,
    Mathieu.

Yes, that. GarageBand is currently the closest to that experience in my opinion on iOS but once I load some AUs the fun is over, even though I got the latest iPad model. I can't believe Apple couldn't optimize it's own DAW better for it's own OS on the latest model of their own hardware.

    Awesome!

  • I can't wait for this to arrive, I'm hoping with such a long gestation period it will be near enough perfect on launch. ;-)

  • It's done on purpose. Force you to buy new hardware.

    I do

  • Beat maker was the first motherfuckers, don't ever forget that. Show some respect.

  • iPhone 1st generation owner ova fkn chy'eere

  • I found the beatmaker 2 workflow tiresome (and not fun at all). But you guys were first on the scene with groundbreaking beatmaking on iOS so this will be a day one purchase for me whether I end up using it or not.

  • just waiting for this to come out so I can dump garageband from the iphone. :)

That's something we wanted to improve in BM3, and I think the UI/UX is way cleaner now.
