That’s why it should be optional and default to off.
Perhaps, but where would be a good place to add that option?
Since it’s only ever automation data in the busses, perhaps you could shove a ‘Show Busses’ toggle button in the left hand sidebar when ‘Auto’ is active. It doesn’t look too crowded, but then I’m using a 13 inch iPad Pro...
I get that it’s probably quite a fundamental change so not easy. However, have you got FLSM? That starts with a master track and I don’t think it’s too confusing.
There is of course plenty of features in your app that I wish FLSM would adopt
Hmm.. I could just show the busses when you press Auto, much simpler.
Lol. It’s your app...
@dwrae : At 00:55... I press and hold the time line... But that window never comes up (punch in-punch out)... So I’m doing WHAT wrong exactly?
My guess is that this is for Android and is slightly different
Even though the UI/UX can definitely need some improvements I really like the app. I bought it just for mixing stems.. eq, level etc. That’s all.
For only 8,- euro you get:
So that’s awesome... everything I need is there..
Another thing I’ve noticed on the MPE front.
In ‘midi instrument tracks’ when drawing notes, cc data etc it’s not possible to specify which midi channel you want to draw your notes on. The button for this isn’t there. Whereas in ‘midi tracks’ we have a button that lets us choose which midi channel to add the note/data to.
This means that currently, it’s not possible to really edit / author MPE midi into the ‘midi instrument tracks’ for use with hosted MPE AUs like Roli Noise, Model 15 etc...
It would be great if this functionality could be added, just like it is in simple ‘midi tracks’.
The menu that includes “punch in/punch out” is accessible with a double tap on the timeline, rather than a hold gesture...TIm might’ve had an earlier version, in the video...
It got changed into double tap, otherwise it's difficult to move a marker slightly without an irritating menu popping up
How can I delete automation on the master channel???? My fader is moving and I can’t stop it
The return of Daft Fader...
It was just discussed here, you cannot I'm afraid unless you press Undo if you just moved the fader with the Read button active. Or edit the XML project file, but I cannot recommend that one!
I don’t know how it got recorded but not recently - I can’t undo it anymore... But now my fader keeps on moving and I can’t do a thing about it... So now I have to start the project over again? Really?
Can you please ad a ‘remove all automation’ menu item for the master fader?
I'll just add the feature to show automation lanes for busses now.
Done!
Ok thanks Davey.. There is nothing in the manual re punch in. Please de write/update the video and the manual if possible
Ok , yes got it
@dwrae : Can you please perhaps lost some other things that have changed since these videos?
Thanks @Littlewoodg
Total fader control! That's great, thanks!
Unbelievable turnaround! I’ve been suggesting to imageline for months about adding au support to FLSM and they still haven’t replied, let alone done it. I’m going to try making a track just using AEM and see if I can do away with FLSM altogether.
I'm afraid I don't keep track. Shouldn't be a lot of differences, but it's not economically viable to update all videos when some button somewhere changes etc.
I appreciate that, although I really think FLSM is a different type of app than AEM, although you could do a lot of the same things. It's about which way of working you prefer. FLSM is clearly not audio-targeted for instance. You need to open the keyboard to find the record button for instance (at least on Android). In AEM, newbies might wonder where the keyboard actually is. I'm sure there are lots of these pros and cons.
I’m midi all the way with a few samples thrown in so I never actually record anything. I do think the built in FLSM synths are very good, but with AU there’s loads to choose from. I’ve been thinking for ages that an iOS daw needs to just be a host for AU instruments and effects, with a focus on samples, audio, and a clean easy to use interface. So far you’re absolutely nailing it.
By the way, if you need to get rid of the master automation, you could enable Touch mode again, play and hold the master fader at the position you want and it will override the automation data. Not pretty, but I think the next update can take a couple of days to arrive.
Plus AEM actually works. That comes in handy too.
Could you please add some contrast to the automation track dividing lines? Black lines on black background is nearly impossible to see. Thank You!!
Which color do you want?
